Alphabet Appoints Well-known Economist and Former TIAA CEO to Board          

Alphabet appointed Roger W. Ferguson, Jr., 64, to its Board of Directors. Ferguson is a respected leader in the economics and finance industries. Ferguson has served as the President and CEO of TIAA since April 2008. He joined TIAA after his tenure at Swiss Re, where he served as Chairman of the firm's America Holding Corporation, Head of Financial Services, and a member of the Executive Committee from 2006 to 2008. 

Microsoft Announces Multiple Key Executive Changes       

Microsoft announced a broad reorganization of the company's senior executive ranks as long-time COO Kevin Turner prepares to leave for another job. Instead of naming a new COO, the company appointed two executives to divvy up the sales responsibilities and report to him. Jean-Philippe Courtois will be in charge of global sales, marketing and operations spanning Microsoft's 13 business areas. Judson Althoff will lead the worldwide commercial business, including government and small and medium-sized businesses.

Other executives already reporting to Nadella will take on parts of Turner's job, with Chris Capossela leading worldwide marketing, Kurt DelBene leading IT and CFO Amy Hood taking over the sales and marketing team's finance group, which had been separate.

Turner is leaving Microsoft after more than a decade at the company to become CEO of the securities unit at financial-services firm Citadel. He will join Citadel after a short transition period.Cindy Rose

Cindy Rose has joined Microsoft UK and will take over as CEO from Michel Van der Bel who will move into a new role to be announced at a future date. Rose joins from Vodafone UK, where she was Managing Director of the Consumer Division.

Sriram Rajamani is the new managing director of its India lab. Based in Bangalore, Sriram will spearhead Microsoft India's continued focus on research, innovation and collaboration with the scientific community. He replaces Chandu Thekkath, who previously was managing director of the lab for 2 years. Prior to joining the India lab, he headed the Software Productivity Tools group within Microsoft's Redmond research lab.

Facebook Taps Key Tesla Tech Exec; Appoints New Leader for Infrastructure Connectivity and Investments

Facebook hired Rich Heley, a top executive from Tesla, to work at its research lab. Heley was recently VP of product technology for Tesla. Heley is likely to work on hardware projects for Facebook.

Facebook has hired Kevin Lo, the former GM for Google Fibre, as its new director of infrastructure connectivity and investments. The appointment shows Facebook is expanding its Internet connectivity plans as Lo will work with Facebook's external partnerships, such as the fibre-optic cable deal Facebook made with Microsoft, which aims to provide stronger Internet connectivity to densely populated urban areas.

Alibaba Group Announces Board Changes      

Alibaba Group d announced that the Alibaba Partnership has appointed Eric Jing to serve as a non-executive director on the company's board of directors. Jing will replace Jonathan Lu, vice chairman, who will retire from the company and step down from the board. Jing is the president of Zhejiang Ant Small and Micro Financial Services Group Co. Ltd. (Ant Financial Services), the parent company of Alipay.com.

Verizon Hires VP, Smart Communities from CiscoMrinalini Ingram

Mrinalini Ingram joined in the newly created position of Vice President, Smart Communities at Verizon.  Ingram came to Verizon from Cisco, where she spent 16 years, nearly a decade of which as a pioneer developing the Smart Communities industry on a global scale.

Intel Appoints UC Berkeley Professor to Serve on its Board  

Intel elected Dr. Tsu-Jae King Liu to serve on its board of directors. She is a professor of electrical engineering and computer science at the University of California, Berkeley.

SAP Appoints Chief Innovation Officer      

SAP SE announced that Juergen Mueller, 34, has been named chief innovation officer (CINO). Mueller will continue to lead the SAP Innovation Center Network and expand the company's presence in the German capital as managing director of SAP Labs Berlin. Before joining SAP in 2013, Mueller was co-representative of Professor Hasso Plattners research chair at the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) for Software Systems Engineering in Potsdam, Germany.

Accenture Appoints Wolters Kluwer Chair/CEO to Board      

Accenture appointed Nancy McKinstry, 57, to the company’s Board of Directors. McKinstry is CEO and chairman of Wolters Kluwer. Before assuming her present position in 2003, McKinstry gained more than a decade of experience at Wolters Kluwer and its operating companies in North America.

Paypal Announces Geographic Leadership Changes   

Paypal has appointed Frank Keller as the new General Manager for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, succeeding Arnulf Keese who leaves the company after ten years.  Until recently, Keller managed the corporate customer business.  Keese moves on to become general partner of a venture capital fund. He joined Paypal as Head of Strategy & Business Operations.

ADP Appoints Former Deputy Head of Mission at the Office of the Quartet as a New Director     

Automatic Data Processing appointed Sandra S. Wijnberg as a new director of the company. From July 2014 to December 2015, Wijnberg was Deputy Head of Mission, Office of the Quartet Representative, which is charged with implementing the Palestinian economic development agenda of the Quartet (the United Nations, the United States, the European Union and Russia.) Prior to that, she was a Partner and Chief Administrative Officer of Aquiline Holdings, SVP and CFO at Marsh & McLennan Companies, and held various positions at YUM! Brands, PepsiCo, Morgan Stanley and AmEx.

McKesson and Change Healthcare Creates New Healthcare IT Company; Announces Leaders

McKesson and Change Healthcare Holdings announced the creation of a new healthcare IT company. The entity will combine substantially all of Change Healthcare’s business and the majority of McKesson Technology Solutions (MTS) into a new company. Chairman, president, and CEO of McKesson John H. Hammergren will serve as chairman. CEO and President at Change Healthcare Neil de Crescenzo will serve as CEO, joined by an experienced management team comprised of leaders from both McKesson and Change Healthcare.

Netflix Announces Key Executives Appointments from India

Netflix has hired two senior talents from India. Former YouTube Indian and Southeast Asia product partnerships head Gaurav Pradhan has joined Netflix as director business development Asia. Meanwhile, Netflix LA has also appointed former Balaji Telefilms's motion pictures president and Samosa Stories Entertainment founder director Swati Shetty.

Cognizant Technology Solutions Sees Multiple Executive Changes    

Cognizant Technology Solutions announced several changes to the portfolio of its senior management team, including the announcement of a new chief operating officer. A new COO, Srinivasan V has been announced, who will take over from Sridhar T, who has been moved to a newly created strategic initiatives portfolio. Srinivasan was EVP, products and resources at CTS.

All delivery roles will now come under Debashis Chatterjee, who is EVP and president, technology solutions.

Prasad C will now take care of industry verticals in North America while Santosh Thomas gets Latin American markets in addition to the EU and APAC.

The BPO business remains with Sumithra Gomatam and Gajen Kandiah will take care of digital works.

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Appoints New Leader of its Enterprise Group in EMEA  

Hewlett Packard Enterprise announced Andy Isherwood as the new leader of its Enterprise Group and Managing Director of Hewlett Packard Enterprise EMEA. Isherwoord joined HP's graduate training program in 1988 and quickly rose through the ranks. In his more than 28 years with the company, he's held prominent roles in the UK, Europe and throughout the world - across infrastructure, software, sales, services and support. For the past three years, he has been the managing director and Enterprise Group leader for the UK and Ireland.

eBay Appoints co-founder and CEO of Lyft as New Board Member

eBay appointed Logan Green as a new member of the company's Board of Directors. Green is the co-founder and CEO of Lyft, a peer-to-peer ride sharing company, which he founded with John Zimmer in 2012. Green also founded Zimride, a rideshare program that was initially implemented at Cornell University.  Before that, he created the first car-share program at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Nokia Announces Resignation of Board Member; Appoints New Geographic Leaders

Nokia announced that Vivek Badrinath has informed that he will step down from the Nokia Board of Directors, due to his appointment as CEO for Vodafone's Africa, Middle East and Asia-Pacific region.

Nokia has promoted India head Sandeep Girotra as the head of Asia-Pacific and Japan market, and named Sanjay Malik as the new head of the country. Malik is currently serving Nokia as the VP and head of global network implementation services, which is a part of the company's Global Services business. Girotra is currently overseeing the combined company's customer operations across India, driving the execution of strategy and ensuring customer service.

Nokia has appointed Mikhail Rayskin the CEO of its Russian branch. Simultaneously, Rayskin will continue working as head of the customer business team to deal with key accounts. Rayskin has previously held management positions at numerous telecommunications companies. 

HERE Appoints SVP, Automotive Business Group 

HERE, the location cloud company, has appointed Ralf Herrtwich as SVP, Automotive Business Group. Herrtwich joins HERE from Daimler AG where, since 1998, he has held various roles and most recently served as Director Vehicle Automation and Chassis Systems. Prior to Daimler, Herrtwich held various senior management and leadership positions at RWE and IBM.

VMware Appoints Asia Pacific and MENA Regional Leaders          

VMware appointed Duncan Hewett to the post of SVP and GM to lead the VMware Asia Pacific & Japan business. Hewett has nearly 30 years of emerging market experience, mostly focused on Asia Pacific. He joins VMware from IBM, where he most recently served as VP for IBM Software for Asia Pacific.

VMware appointed Ahmed Auda as the new managing director of its Middle East and North Africa (MENA) operations. Prior to joining the company, Auda held the position of GM for Gulf Business Machines in Oman.

Intuit Appoints Chief Marketing and Sales Officer from GoogleLucas Watson

Intuit appointed Lucas Watson as its chief marketing and sales officer. Watson joins the company from Google where he most recently served as VP of global brand solutions and innovations. He succeeds Caroline Donahue who announced her retirement in February 2016.

Fiserv Appoints New York Life’s President to its Board

Fiserv appointed John Kim, 56, to its board of directors. Kim is president of New York Life Insurance Company. Kim also serves as the chief investment officer for New York Life. Prior to joining New York Life in 2008, Kim was president of Prudential Retirement and its predecessor organization, CIGNA Retirement and Investment Services. Previously, he was president and CEO of Aeltus Investment Management.

Christopher M. Flink, 45, resigned from the board of directors of Fiserv 2016 in connection with new employment.

Ericsson Goes Through Several Leadership Changes

Hans Vestberg resigned as President and CEO and member of the Board, with immediate effect. Jan Frykhammar, EVP and CFO, will assume the CEO position until a new CEO is in office. Carl Mellander, currently VP & Group Treasurer, is appointed acting CFO with immediate effect.

Ericsson announced that Tarek Saadi has been appointed Head of Global Customer Unit (GCU) Zain as well as Head of Customer Unit for the GCC and Pakistan within Ericsson Region Middle East and East Africa.

Ericsson promoted Ali Eid as the head of Customer unit for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Palestine within the Ericsson region Middle East and East Africa. Since 2010, Eid has been the head of Ericsson KSA.

Cerner Appoints SVP, Cerner Revenue Cycle Management and President of Cerner RevWorks       

Cerner announced that Jeff Hurst will join the company as SVP, Cerner Revenue Cycle Management and president of Cerner RevWorks. Hurst is currently the SVP of finance at Florida Hospital. Jeff has worked at Florida Hospital for more than 19 years and has previously served as SVP of fiscal services, and VP of revenue management. Prior to joining Florida Hospital, Jeff spent 10 years serving in the United States Air Force.

Expedia Witnesses Board Changes   

Jos A. Tazn resigned from Expedia’s board of Directors.  The company elected Scott Rudin to the board. Rudin began his career in the entertainment industry in the 1970s, and since then has served in a variety of roles, including as founder and principal of Scott Rudin Productions and as a senior executive at Twentieth Century Fox.

CA Technologies Announces CFO Changes; Names GM of its India Technology Center

CA Technologies appointed Kieran J. McGrath, currently the company's SVP and Corporate Controller, as SVP and interim CFO. Since 2014, McGrath has been the SVP and Corporate Controller for the company. McGrath succeeds retiring CFO Richard J. Beckert, who had served as the company's CFO since 2011.

CA Technologies announced that Surya Panditi has been named GM of its India Technology Center. Before joining CA, Panditi held leadership positions at several startups, including CEO of AirGrub, Advisor to StageOne Ventures and Advisor at Rasa Networks, acquired by Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Prior to that, he was SVP and GM of Cisco's Service Provider Networking Group.

LogMeIn and Citrix Systems Announce Executive Changes at Combined Company           

LogMeIn and Citrix Systems announced that the companies have entered into a definitive merger agreement for LogMeIn to combine with Citrix’s GoTo business. LogMeIn’s Bill Wagner will continue in his role as President and CEO, and LogMeIn’s Ed Herdiech will serve as CFO. Certain members of the GoTo management team are expected to join the combined company as well. The combined company will be headquartered in Boston.

Upon closing, the combined company’s Board of Directors will consist of nine directors: five current LogMeIn directors and four Citrix director appointees. Citrix’s four director appointees have proven expertise in driving operational efficiency and will include current Citrix directors Bob Calderoni, Jesse Cohn, and Peter Sacripanti, as well as Citrix’s COO and CFO, David Henshall. Michael Simon, former CEO and current Chairman of the Board of LogMeIn, will remain in place as Chairman of the combined company’s Board. Bill Wagner will also retain his Board seat. LogMeIn’s other three directors will be named at a later date.

Citrix Appoints APJ Leader from Software AGStanimira Koleva

Citrix has announced that Stanimira Koleva has been appointed group VP of sales and services for the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region. Most recently, Koleva was the SVP and COO, for APJ at Software AG.

Symantec Announces Top Leaders upon Closing of Blue Coat Acquisition  

Symantec and Blue Coat have entered into a definitive agreement under which Symantec will acquire Blue Coat for approximately $4.651 billion in cash. Greg Clark, CEO of Blue Coat, will be appointed CEO of Symantec and join the Symantec Board. Clark has served as the CEO of Blue Coat and as a member of the company’s board since September 2011. Prior to joining, Clark was president and CEO of Mincom, from 2008 to August 2011.

In connection with this investment, David Humphrey, a Managing Director of Bain Capital Private Equity, will be appointed to Symantec’s Board of Directors.

Michael Fey will join Symantec as President and COO upon closing of the previously announced acquisition of Blue Coat. He was President and COO of Blue Coat.

Palo Alto Networks Announces Sales Exec Changes   

Dave Peranich joins the company as its new EVP, Worldwide Sales. Dave is a proven sales leader and his focus on sales and the channel will provide even more capacity for its growth. Mark Anderson has been promoted to president with responsibility for the company's sales, go-to-market strategy, customer support, and business development. Over the last four years, Mark Anderson's leadership of its sales organization has been instrumental to its growth.

Twitter Appoints founder and current CEO of Quip to Board; Goes Through Geographic Leadership Changes

Twitter appointed Bret Taylor, founder and current CEO of Quip, to serve as a Board member. Previously, he was the CTO of Facebook, after it acquired FriendFeed, the social network he co-founded in 2007.

Shailesh Rao has stepped down as the VP for Asia Pacific, Latin America and Emerging Markets at Twitter. Rao served as VP of International Revenue at Twitter, since joining in April 2012. Prior to joining Twitter, Rao was associated with Google as the Director of local search.

Mark Little has been appointed as the new managing director of Twitter in Ireland. The former RT broadcaster, who left Storyful in June 2015, has taken up the role with current chief Stephen McIntyre leaving the company.

First Data Appoints APAC Regional Leader

First Data announced that Ivo Distelbrink will join the company to lead its business in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Distelbrink joins First Data from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he most recently held the role of Managing Director and Regional Head of Global Transaction Services (GTS) for APAC.

Eastman Kodak CEO Steps Down from Red Hat Board     

Red Hat announced that Jeffrey J. Clarke, 54, CEO at Eastman Kodak, notified the company that he has decided not to stand for re-election at the Board of Directors.

Sage Appoints Company President and EVP of Northern EuropeBlair Crump

Sage has appointed Blair Crump as President. Crump joins from PROS Holdings, where he held the position of COO since November 2014. Previously, he led Salesforce's Global Enterprise business. Prior to that, he was Group President at Verizon Business, responsible for Worldwide Sales & Consulting.

The company appointed Jacqueline de Rojas as EVP of Northern Europe. With over 25 years of operational experience in the software business, de Rojas joins from Citrix, where she led the Northern European business as GM & Area VP.
