Alphabet Appoints Well-known Economist and Former TIAA CEO to Board

Alphabet appointed Roger W. Ferguson, Jr., 64, to its Board of Directors. Ferguson is a respected leader in the economics and finance industries. Ferguson has served as the President and CEO of TIAA since April 2008. He joined TIAA after his tenure at Swiss Re, where he served as Chairman of the firm's America Holding Corporation, Head of Financial Services, and a member of the Executive Committee from 2006 to 2008. 

Intel Appoints UC Berkeley Professor to Serve on its Board  Dr. Tsu-Jae King Liu

Intel elected Dr. Tsu-Jae King Liu to serve on its board of directors. She is a professor of electrical engineering and computer science at the University of California, Berkeley.

Accenture Appoints Wolters Kluwer Chair/CEO to Board      

Accenture appointed Nancy McKinstry, 57, to the company’s Board of Directors. McKinstry is CEO and chairman of Wolters Kluwer. Before assuming her present position in 2003, McKinstry gained more than a decade of experience at Wolters Kluwer and its operating companies in North America.

ADP Appoints Former Deputy Head of Mission at the Office of the Quartet as a New Director     

Automatic Data Processing appointed Sandra S. Wijnberg as a new director of the company. From July 2014 to December 2015, Wijnberg was Deputy Head of Mission, Office of the Quartet Representative, which is charged with implementing the Palestinian economic development agenda of the Quartet (the United Nations, the United States, the European Union and Russia.) Prior to that, she was a Partner and Chief Administrative Officer of Aquiline Holdings, SVP and CFO at Marsh & McLennan Companies, and held various positions at YUM! Brands, PepsiCo, Morgan Stanley and AmEx.

eBay Appoints co-founder and CEO of Lyft as New Board Member

eBay appointed Logan Green as a new member of the company's Board of Directors. Green is the co-founder and CEO of Lyft, a peer-to-peer ride sharing company, which he founded with John Zimmer in 2012. Green also founded Zimride, a rideshare program that was initially implemented at Cornell University.  Before that, he created the first car-share program at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Expedia Witnesses Board Changes   

Jos A. Tazn resigned from Expedia’s board of Directors.  The company elected Scott Rudin to the board. Rudin began his career in the entertainment industry in the 1970s, and since then has served in a variety of roles, including as founder and principal of Scott Rudin Productions and as a senior executive at Twentieth Century Fox.

Eastman Kodak CEO Steps Down from Red Hat Board     

Red Hat announced that Jeffrey J. Clarke, 54, CEO at Eastman Kodak, notified the company that he has decided not to stand for re-election at the Board of Directors.

Akamai Technologies Appoints Former Sprint CEO as Board Member

Akamai Technologies announced the election of Daniel R. Hesse to the company board of directors. In addition to his almost seven years as President and CEO of Sprint Corporation, Hesse has also served as Chairman and CEO of Embarq Corporation. Previously, he was Chairman, President and CEO of Terabeam Corporation.

Seagate Technology Director Resigns; Former Logitech CFO

Kris Onken, 66, notified the Board of Directors of Seagate Technology plc that she will retire from the Board, and will not stand for re-election at the 2016 annual general meeting of shareholders.  Onken served as SVP of Finance and the CFO of Logitech from 1999 to 2006.

CSC Goes Through Board ChangesLizabeth H. Zlatkus     

CSC has named Lizabeth H. Zlatkus to the company's board of directors. Zlatkus previously worked for 28 years at The Hartford Financial Services Group, including as CFO and chief risk officer, as well as co-president of The Hartford Life Insurance Cos.

Mark Foster, 57, resigned from the Board of CSC. Foster served as group chief executive for Management Consulting at Accenture plc from September 2006 until his retirement in March 2011.

Oracle Financial Services Software Announces Demise of Director  

Oracle Financial Services Software announced that the sudden and sad demise of Derek H Williams, Non-Executive Non-Independent Director of the Company. Williams is former EVP of Japan at Oracle. 

CSRA Elects President and CEO of Energy Future Holdings as New Director 

CSRA, the provider of IT services to the federal government, elected John F. Young as a director of the company. Young has served on the board of directors of Energy Future Holdings, a Dallas-based energy company with a portfolio of competitive and regulated businesses, including TXU Energy, Luminant and Oncor, since July 2008 and as President and CEO of Energy Future Holdings since January 2008. Prior to joining EFH, Young was EVP of finance and markets at Exelon.

Ubisoft Announces Director Changes

French multinational video game developer and publisher Ubisoft has appointed Frederique Dame, an angel investor in Silicon Valley, and Florence Naviner, CFO and SVP of Wrigley, as independent directors. In the meantime, Estelle Metayer’s mandate, expiring in September, will not be renewed. Estelle Metayer will however continue to provide her expertise to Ubisoft as an adviser, specifically on governance-related topics.

WEX Appoints Warburg Pincus Executive as Director

WEX appointed James Neary as director to fill a new Board seat.  Neary is a managing director of Warburg Pincus and joined the firm in 2000. Neary has served as co-head of the Industrial & Business Services team since June 2013 and is also a member of the firm’s executive management group. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, he was a managing director at Chase Securities and prior to that he was at Credit Suisse First Boston.

Former CEO of MedAssets Joins Aspen Technology Board     

The provider of process optimization software solutions Aspen Technology announced that R. Halsey Wise has been appointed to the company’s board. Wise brings nearly 30 years of leadership, technology and financial experience. He is currently Chairman and CEO of Lime Barrel Advisors. Over the years Wise led several successful business transformation and value creation efforts. Until 2016, he served as Chairman and CEO of MedAssets. Wise was also Chairman, President and CEO of Intergraph.

Playtech Appoints Director With Expertise in eGaming and Technology Law and Regulation

Gambling software company Playtech appointed Claire Milne as an independent Non-Executive Director. Claire joins the Board as a recognised industry expert with 20 years' experience advising gaming and financial services clients as an in-house and private practice lawyer. She is currently a Partner and Team Leader within the Intellectual Property and Science & Technology teams for Appleby in the Isle of Man.

Leidos Appoints Lockheed Martin Designees to Board           

Leidos increased the size of the board and appointed the Lockheed Martin designees, Gregory R. Dahlberg, Dr. Surya N. Mohapatra and Susan M. Stalnecker, to serve as directors.

Dahlberg previously held various senior executive positions at Lockheed Martin, most recently serving as the SVP for Washington Operations from 2009 to 2015. Prior to his years at Lockheed Martin, he served as Minority Staff Director of the House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee with jurisdiction over funding for all Department of Defense and intelligence agency programs.

Surya N. Mohapatra has held senior leadership positions in the health care industry for more than 30 years, most recently as the Chairman, President and CEO of Quest Diagnostics where he had been a senior executive since 1999.

Susan M. Stalnecker was employed by E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. from 1977 to 2016, serving in numerous senior roles during her tenure, including 10 years as VP and Treasurer and most recently as VP, Corporate Productivity and Hospitality.

Proofpoint Elects Autodesk CFO as Newest Board Member    R. Scott Herren

Proofpoint, a leading next-generation cybersecurity company, elected R. Scott Herren as a new independent director. Herren currently serves as SVP and CFO of Autodesk. Prior to this role, he was SVP of Finance for Citrix Systems.

Autohome Sees Board Changes          

Autohome, the leading online destination for automobile consumers in China, appointed Paul Tyler as a director and Cynthia Whelan has resigned from the Board. Paul Tyler is Group Managing Director International of Telstra. Prior to joining Telstra in 2016, Tyler has held a number of roles over more than 15 years at Nokia Networks, including most recently the Head of Asia-Pacific and Japan.

Wix.com Appoints its Former Board Member and Co-CEO to Board           

Cloud-based web development platform Wix.com appointed Allon Bloch to its board of directors. Bloch returns to Wix having served as a director from January 2008 through August 2013 and as President and Co-CEO from 2008 through September 2010. Most recently, he served as CEO of Vroom from July 2014 through June 2016. Previously, he was CEO of mySupermarket.

Gogo Makes Couple of Board Appointments   

Gogo, the provider of in-flight broadband Internet service, announced that Michele Coleman Mayes and Hugh Jones have been appointed to the company's board of directors. Michele Coleman Mayes is VP, General Counsel and Secretary for the New York Public Library. She joined NYPL in August 2012 after serving as EVP and General Counsel for Allstate Insurance Company since 2007.

Hugh Jones is the current President of Sabre Airline Solutions. Prior to his role in Sabre Airline Solutions, Hugh served as the president and CEO of Travelocity. Hugh has held a number of executive positions at Sabre including COO of Sabre Travel Network and Airline Solutions. He began his career in the travel industry at American Airlines in 1988, serving in a variety of finance positions.

Callidus Software Appoints Director from Consumer Markets

Global enterprise software and SaaS company Callidus Software appointed James D. White, a renowned business leader, to its board of directors. White is a veteran executive with a proven track record with the world's leading companies. As the former chairman, president and CEO of Jamba, he led a transformation that positions Jamba Juice as a top healthy living brand. White previously held senior executive roles at Safeway Stores, the Gillette Company and Nestle Purina. He started his career at the Coca-Cola Company.

MINDBODY Co-Founder Resigns from Board        

Robert Murphy resigned as a member of the Board of Directors of MINDBODY, the online business management software firm. Murphy co-founded MINDBODY, and formerly served as its COO.

Rapid7 Announces Strategic Changes to Its Board    

Internet security company Rapid7 announced that Christopher Young, 44, informed the Board of Directors of the company of his intention to resign from the Board. Young is general manager of the Intel Security Group at Intel McAfee.

The board appointed Thomas E. Schodorf, 58, and Marc E. Brown to serve as members of the Board. Schodorf served as an SVP of Worldwide Field Operations at Splunk from 2009 to 2015. Marc is currently the managing director of corporate development at Microsoft Corporation. Marc has nearly 22 years of business and legal experience, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and equity investments.

ShoreTel Appoints New Board Member with Significant Financial Expertise

The Board of directors of ShoreTel, the provider of unified communications (UC) solutions and phone systems, has appointed Marjorie Bowen, 51, to the board.  She served as Managing Director, National Director Fairness Opinion Practice at Houlihan Lokey from 1989 to 2008. 

Paycom’s Board Appoints Attorney as New Director

Paycom Software, the cloud-based human capital management software firm, appointed Larry Parman, president and CEO of Parman & Easterday, to Paycom’s board of directors, replacing Conner Mulvee, who tendered his resignation.

Parman founded Parman & Easterday, a law firm, in 1985. Today, he serves on the board of the Oklahoma State Chamber of Commerce and the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs. From November 2013 to January 2015, he served as Secretary of Commerce for the State of Oklahoma and executive director of the Oklahoma Commerce Department after fulfilling his duties as the Oklahoma Secretary of State.

Former NBCUniversal Cable Exec Joins GoPro BoardLauren Zalaznick

GoPro, the wearable-camera maker looking to transform itself into a media company, has named former NBCUniversal cable executive Lauren Zalaznick to its board, the first woman to join GoPro’s board. Zalaznick, who exited NBCU in 2013 after 12 years, had been the president of Bravo, building the cabler into a reality-TV powerhouse. Currently, Zalaznick also serves on the boards of Nielsen, Shazam and Penguin Random House.
