SAP, Adobe, Intuit & Other Software Players Witnessing Board & Exec Moves

Saueressig is the youngest CIO at a German DAX company, who will lead SAPs IT organization and report to the COO. Saueressig joined SAP in 2004 and was previously global head of IT service.

Scott Russell was named president and managing director for SAP Southeast Asia. He was most recently the COO for SAP Asia Pacific Japan and interim president and managing director for SAP Southeast Asia for the last quarter, where he helped to ensure business continuity.

Rufat Gadzhialibelov is now the head of its Azerbaijan unit. Gadzhialibekov earlier worked as head of Microsoft Azerbaijan. He succeeds Sarkhan Gashimov.

Adobe Names New VP, Adobe Research

Adobe has brought on board noted computer scientist Anandan Padmanabhan to head its big data experience Lab in Bengaluru as VP, Adobe Research. Padmanabhan, who in his previous role was the MD of research outreach at Microsoft will lead the company's big data research initiatives in the region.

Intuit Appoints Oportun CEO as Director     Raul Vazquez

Intuit appointed Raul Vazquez, CEO of Oportun, a financial technology company, to its board of directors. Prior to joining Oportun, Vazquez spent nine years at Walmart in various senior leadership roles.

Fiserv Appoints CAO as Principal Accounting Officer           

Kenneth F. Best was appointed the principal accounting officer of Fiserv. Best joined the company in 2010 as VP, corporate controller.  In 2014, he was promoted to SVP, corporate controller and, in March he became chief accounting officer of the company.

Dassault Systèmes Appoints Managing Director of North America  

Dassault Systèmes named Paul DiLaura as Managing Director of North America. DiLaura joined the company in 2005 and held a variety of roles, including managing the company's relationship with Boeing, before being appointed VP of Sales for the Value Solutions Partner Channel in 2011.

Americas Publishing Exec Moves into New Global Publishing Role at Electronic Arts       

Electronic Arts announced that Laura Miele, EA's SVP, Americas Publishing, is moving into a new role as EVP, Global Publishing.

Workday Appoints Robynne Sisco as CFO    

Workday named Robynne Sisco as CFO. Prior to joining Workday in 2012 as chief accounting officer, Robynne was chief accounting officer and corporate controller at VMware, SVP and chief accounting officer at VeriSign and assistant controller at Oracle.

Red Hat Appoints Regional Leaders and Principal Accounting Officer   Massimo Fatato

Red Hat named Massimo Fatato as VP of the firm's broadened telecoms business in EMEA. Fatato joined Red Hat from HP, where he worked as general manager for its Operations Support System (OSS) portfolio globally, having formerly held designations at Cisco and Accenture.

Alejandro Raffaele joined Red Hat as its head of telecommunications and media in Latin America. Raffaele will be in charge of the management of operations and business relationships with leading telecommunications and data center services companies in the region.

Eric R. Shander, 47, will serve as the company’s principal accounting officer. Shander joined the company in November 2015 as VP, Finance and Accounting. Prior to that, he spent over twenty years at IBM, most recently as VP/Global Services Automation & Competitiveness.

Couple of Autodesk Directors Not to Stand for Re-election 

Autodesk’s two long-standing directors, J. Hallam Dawson, 78, and Per-Kristian Halvorsen, 63, have decided to not stand for reelection to the Board. Dawson is the retired chairman of IDI Associates, a private Latin American investment bank. Halvorsen is the chief innovation officer and a SVP at Intuit.

CA Names Corporate Communications Leader and Head of Latin American Operations

CA Technologies announced that Darlàn Monterisi has been named SVP of Corporate Communications. Most recently, Monterisi was a partner and managing director at Porter Novelli in New York. Prior to that Monterisi was global PR director for Rockstar Games.

The company has appointed Claudia Vasquez as its new head of Latin American operations. Vazquez will replace Larcio Albuquerque, who held the position since 2012 and left the company a few days ago. Vasquez was VP of sales for the Andean region prior to this appointment.

Citrix Systems Chief of Staff, Office of the CEO, Resigns    

David R. Friedman, 54, resigned as Citrix's Chief of Staff, Office of the CEO, which he served since April 2015. Friedman served as SVP of Human Resources at Citrix since April 2006 until March 2015 and served as its General Counsel since 2002 until March 2015.

Michael A. Brown to Step Down as President and CEO of Symantec           

Symantec announced that Michael A. Brown, 56, will step down as President and CEO. Brown will continue to serve as CEO and as a director of the Company until a successor has been appointed. Brown has been the CEO since September 2014 and served as its President from September 2014.

Total System Services Elects Acquired Company TransFirst’s CEO as Senior EVP

Total System Services, the provider of infrastructure software to the payments industry, completed its acquisition of TransFirst and the company also announced that TransFirst’s president and CEO, John Shlonsky, has been elected as Senior EVP of TSYS, and will lead the combined businesses.

NetApp Sees Board and Senior Leadership Changes 

Tor Braham, 58, resigned from the Board of NetApp. Braham has been Managing Director and Head of Technology Mergers & Acquisitions at Warburg Dillion Read, a subsidiary of UBS AG since 1997.

NetApp appointed Ronald J. Pasek, 55, as EVP and CFO of the Company (as well as principal financial officer and principal accounting officer). Prior to his appointment, he served as SVP, Finance and CFO of Altera Corporation until its acquisition by Intel in December 2015.

Pasek succeeds Jeffrey K. Bergmann, who has served as the Company's interim CFO since January 2016. Bergmann will resume his previous role as VP of corporate finance of the Company.

Robert Salmon, 54, will retire from his position as President of NetApp. Salmon will remain an employee of the company until June, to provide transition services to the company. Henri Richard, newly appointed EVP of Worldwide Field and Customer Operations, succeeds Salmon.

Richard will join NetApp at the beginning of the company's fiscal year 2017. He joins NetApp from SanDisk Corporation.

Cadence Design Systems CFO to Retire Next Year

Cadence Design Systems SVP and CFO Geoff Ribar, who joined the company in 2010, has decided to retire from Cadence effective March 31, 2017. Cadence has initiated a comprehensive search to identify the company's next CFO.

Splunk Appoints Chief Revenue Officer from Salesforce   Susan St. Ledger    

Splunk appointed Susan St. Ledger as Chief Revenue Officer. As CRO, St. Ledger will have direct worldwide responsibility for all revenue generating and customer facing Splunk teams. St.  Ledger serves as CRO of the Marketing Cloud at Salesforce.com.

SS&C Technologies BD Leader for EMEA Region  

SS&C Technologies appointed Ron Tannenbaum as the new managing director of BD for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Most recently, Tannenbaum was Co-Founder and Partner (UK Marketing and Sales) at AltB Partners LP.

Gemalto Announces CEO Changes   

Digital security company Gemalto’s CEO Olivier Piou has decided to retire from the company at the end of August 2016. COO Philippe Vallée will be the company's new CEO. Vallée joined the company in 1992. He has 27 years of experience in the digital security space.

NetSuite Appoints Global Controller and VP/GM for Asia   

Michael Forman, 45, was appointed as an Executive Officer of NetSuite and promoted to the role of SVP, Global Controller and appointed as the company’s principal accounting officer. From July 2010 to March 2016, he served as the company’s VP, Finance and Corporate Controller.

NetSuite appointed Zakir Ahmed as VP and General Manager, Asia. Prior to NetSuite, Ahmed was with TechnologyOne Corp, where he served as General Manager for a $50 million business unit. Before that he was with Salesforce.com, Microcell, CGI and Steltor (now Oracle).

Micro Focus Appoints Long-Time HR Leader as Non-Executive Director

Micro Focus International plc appointed Amanda Brown as a board member. She is currently Group HR Director at Hiscox Ltd. Prior, she held a number of HR roles at Whitbread, most recently as Director of Organization & Learning, spent five years at PepsiCo, after starting her HR career at Mars.

CSC’s Strategic Business EVP Steps Down

Ashish Mahadwar, 48, EVP and General Manager, Strategic Business since July 2014, stepped down from his role at CSC. Mahadwar previously served as SVP and Global Head of Strategic Partnerships at Cognizant.

Teradata Goes through CEO Transition and CHRO Steps Down     

Michael F. Koehler, 62, resigned as President, CEO and director of Teradata. Current director Victor L. Lund, 68, has been appointed as President and CEO. He has been a director since 2007, and actively involved in the oversight of Teradata's business transformation since the fourth quarter of 2015.

CHRO Saundra Davis resigns from Teradata. Davis has served the company in the role of CHRO since 2007.

Ubisoft Entertainment Appoints Didier Crespel as Lead Independent Director        

French multinational video game developer and publisher Ubisoft Entertainment created the role of lead independent director, and elected Didier Crespel, 53, to fill this new position. Crespel has sat on Ubisoft`s board of directors as an independent director since November 2013.

FICO Appoints Former Salesforce Exec to Chief Information Office           

FICO has appointed Claus Moldt as CIO. Prior to joining FICO, Moldt was CEO of mPath. Before that he was the global CIO and SVP of service delivery at Salesforce. He previously held leadership positions at eBay, Oracle and Loudcloud.

Tech Data Strengthens Operating Model with Global Executive Appointments      

Tech Data named Richard T. Hume to EVP and COO and John Shea to VP, Global Business Development.  Hume joins Tech Data following a 30-year career with IBM, where he most recently served as general manager and COO, Global Technology Services, since January 2015.

Shea returns to Tech Data from Vology, where he has served as President since November 2014.

Ellie Mae Appoints Former Sun Microsystems Exec as VP of Investor Relations    

Ellie Mae announced that Alex Hughes has joined the company as VP of Investor Relations. Prior to Ellie Mae, he established and led the IR functions at Dolby Laboratories and Chegg, as well as helped lead IR for Sun Microsystems.

TangramCare Co-Founder and CEO to Step Down From Allscripts’ Board Anita V. Pramoda

Anita V. Pramoda, 40, a member of the Board of Directors of Allscripts will not stand for re-election to board. Pramoda is a Co-Founder of TangramCare and serves as its CEO.

Science Applications International Corporation Announces Departure of CFO

SAIC announced the departure of its EVP and CFO, John R. Hartley, 50. Hartley has decided to return to Southern California and his family and home after commuting to the East Coast for the last four years. Hartley has been with the company and its legacy parent since 2001.

Zendesk Appoints Chief Revenue Officer, CIO and CFO     

Customer service software company Zendesk named Bryan Cox, former SVP of global customer operations at VMware, as its first chief revenue officer; Tom Keiser, former chief information officer and EVP of global product operations at Gap, as its first chief information officer; and Elena Gomez, former SVP of finance and strategy at Salesforce, as its new CFO

FireEye Announce Management Changes Based On Succession Plan          

FireEye announced the implementation of its senior management succession plan. David DeWalt, currently FireEye’s CEO and Chairman of the Board, will transition to the role of Executive Chairman of the Board of FireEye and step down as CEO. Kevin Mandia, FireEye’s current President, will transition to the role of CEO of FireEye and step down as President.

Travis Reese, currently FireEye’s President of Mandiant Consulting and iSIGHT Intelligence, will transition to the role of FireEye’s President, and Michael Berry, currently EVP and CFO of FireEye, will assume the role of FireEye’s COO in addition to his current roles.

Ashar Aziz, FireEye’s Founder, Chief Strategy Officer and Vice Chairman of the Board, notified FireEye of his decision to transition to a Director-only role and step down from other roles. Aziz remains a member of FireEye’s Board of Directors.

Cornerstone OnDemand Goes Through CFO Changes         

Cornerstone OnDemand appointed Brian L. Swartz to replace Perry Wallack as the company’s CFO. Swartz currently serves as the CFO at zulily. In February 2016, Cornerstone’s current CFO and co-founder, Perry Wallack, announced his planned retirement.

Pegasystems Appoints ReachLocal CEO as Newest Director; Acquires OpenSpan 

Pegasystems appointed Sharon Rowlands, 57, as a board member. Rowlands is an accomplished CEO with expertise in digital marketing and more than 20 years' experience growing complex business services and software companies. She joined ReachLocal in 2014 as its CEO and a member of its Board.

Pegasystems acquired OpenSpan and its CEO Musser will become managing director of robotics and workforce intelligence, and the rest of the leadership team will have roles in the combined company.

Fleetmatics Announces New CEO and Global Sales SVP

Jim Travers, Fleetmatics’ Chairman and CEO for the past decade, will step down as CEO and remain as Chair. He will be succeeded as CEO by Jill Ward, the Company's President and COO since 2015. Ward will also join the Company's Board of Directors when she becomes CEO. Prior to joining Fleetmatics, Ward was SVP and General Manager at Intuit.

Fleetmatics named Robert Dahdah to the newly-created position of SVP of Global Sales. Most recently, he was a SVP of Global Sales for SunGard Financial Systems.

Telecom and Broadband Expert Leaves Synchronoss Technologies’ Board  

Charles E. Hoffman, 67, a director of Synchronoss Technologies does not intend to run for re-election to the board. Hoffman served as CEO and President of Covad Communications Group from 2001 to 2008. Hoffman has more than 30 years of telecom and broadband experience.

Progress Software’s CFO to Retire    

Progress Software’s CFO Chris E. Perkins, 52, has informed the company that he plans to retire after a transition period while the company search for his replacement. Perkins joined Progress as its CFO in February 2013. The Company will commence a search for a new CFO shortly.

LogMeIn Board Member Not to Stand for Re-election

After ten years of dedicated service to LogMeIn as a member of the company's board of directors, Irfan Salim, 62, notified the Board of his intention not to stand for re-election. Salim served as the CEO of MarkMonitor since October 2006 and served as its President.

Battery Ventures’ General Partner Resigns as Marketo Director; Company Appoints IBM Analytics CTO as Chief Scientist

‎General Partner at Battery Ventures Neeraj Agwaral, 43, a director of Marketo informed the company that he will not stand for re-election to the Company's Board of Directors.

Marketo appointed Shankar Venkataraman as chief scientist. Venkataraman joins Marketo from IBM where he was CTO for the IBM Analytics Platform.
