Amazon.com Appoints Founding Dean and Vice Provost of Cornell Tech as DirectorDaniel P. Huttenlocher

Amazon.com elected Daniel P. Huttenlocher as a director of the company. Huttenlocher has been founding Dean and Vice Provost, Cornell Tech at Cornell University since 2012, and has worked for Cornell University since 1988 in various positions. Huttenlocher has served as a director of Corning since February 2015.

Samsung Electronics Nominates Jay Y. Lee to Board

Samsung Electronics has nominated Jay Y. Lee, the son of its longtime chairman, to its board of directors. More than two years after the hospitalization of Chairman Kun-Hee Lee, the Board of Samsung Electronics believes that the time is now right to nominate Jay Y. Lee as a member of the Board to allow him to take a more active role in the Company's strategic decision-making. Following Lee's appointment, Sang-Hoon Lee, who will continue as CFO, plans to stand down from his position on the Board in order to maintain the Board's current structure of four members of the management and five independent outside directors.

Qualcomm Named Ann M. Livermore to its Board      

Qualcomm appointed Ann M. Livermore to its board of directors. With her nearly 30 years at Hewlett-Packard (HP), Livermore brings extensive experience in senior leadership positions, and broad knowledge and experience in the areas of technology, business management, marketing, sales, and research and development. Livermore was formerly an EVP at Hewlett-Packard, where from 2004 until June 14, 2011 she led the HP Enterprise Business business unit of HP.

Applied Materials Announces Resignation of Robert H. Swan as Director

Applied Materials announced that Robert H. Swan notified the company that he was resigning as a member of the Board of Directors of Applied Materials. Swan is Operating Partner, General Atlantic.

VMware Announces Board Changes  

VMware reported that Michael S. Dell has been elected to the VMware board of directors as chairman. In addition, Egon Durban was elected to the VMware board. Both of these appointments were triggered by Dell Technologies' completion of the acquisition of EMC, creating a family of businesses that provides the essential infrastructure for organizations to build their digital future, transform IT and protect their most important asset, information.

With this change, Joseph M. Tucci, the company's chairman of the board of directors since 2007, as well as John R. Egan who served as a director on the company board of directors since 2007, are resigning from the company board.

Dell currently serves as chairman of the board and CEO of Dell Technologies.

Workday Elects Member of its CEO Advisory Board as Director     Lee J. Styslinger, III

Workday elected Lee J. Styslinger, III as a director of Workday. Styslinger has served as a member of Workday's CEO Advisory Board since 2015. Additionally, he has served as the CEO of Altec, a leading equipment and service provider for the electric utility, telecommunications, contractor, lights and signs, and tree care markets, since 1997 and as its Chairman since 2011.

First Data Appoints Co-CEO at Lebenthal as Board Member    

First Data Corporation appointed Barbara A. Yastine as Board of Directors. Yastine most recently served as a director and Co-CEO at Lebenthal Holdings. Prior to Yastine’s most recent role at Lebenthal Holdings, she served as Chair, President, and CEO of Ally Bank from 2012 to 2015. She also previously held the role of Chief Administrative Officer of Ally Financial. In addition Yastine is also a member of the Board of Primerica.

Maxim Integrated Products Announces Board Appointments

Maxim Integrated Products, engaged in designing, developing, manufacturing and marketing a range of linear and mixed-signal integrated circuits, elected MaryAnn Wright and Tracy Accardi to its Board of Directors.

Wright serves as Group VP, Technology and Industry Relations at Johnson Controls. Before joining Johnson Controls, Wright was EVP of Engineering, Product Development, Commercial and Program Management at Collins & Aikman Corporation from 2006-2007. Prior to that, she served in several executive management positions at Ford Motor.

Accardi has served as VP of Global Research and Development, Breast and Skeletal Health Solutions at Hologic since 2014. Previously, Accardi was CTO at Omniguide Surgical from 2012 to 2014, and Executive Consultant at Mednest Consulting from 2011 to 2012, after having held senior research and development positions at Covidien, Johnson & Johnson Company, and Philips Medical Systems.

Harris Corporation Appoints New Board Members   

Harris Corporation has appointed James Albaugh to its board of directors. Harris also announced that Roger B. Fradin has been nominated for election to its Board. Albaugh, is a senior adviser to Perella Weinberg Partners. He served as senior advisor to The Blackstone Group from December 2012 to July 2016. Prior to that, he had a 37-year career at Boeing, where he held various leadership positions, including president and CEO of the Commercial Airplane business, president and CEO of the Integrated Defense Systems business and president and CEO of the Space and Communications business.

Fradin is vice chairman of Honeywell International Inc. During his 16-year career with Honeywell, he has held leadership positions, including president and CEO of the company's Automation and Controls business. He joined Honeywell in 2000 when the company acquired Pittway Corporation.

IMS Health Holdings Announces Board Changes

IMS Health Holdings announced that in connection with the closing of the merger, Ari Bousbib, John G. Danhakl, James Fasano, Karen L.Katen, Sharad S. Mansukani, Ronald A. Rittenmeyer, Todd B. Sisitsky and Bryan M.  Taylor resigned as directors of the company.

Akamai Technologies Appoints Former Sprint CEO as Board Member

Akamai Technologies elected Daniel R. Hesse, 62, to the company board of directors. In addition to his almost seven years as President and CEO of Sprint, Hesse has also served as Chairman and CEO of Embarq. Previously, he was Chairman, President and CEO of Terabeam.

Alfred Castino to Resign as Board of Director from Synopsys

Synopsys announced that Alfred Castino notified the company of his decision not to stand for re-election to company's Board of Directors. Castino has been an independent business consultant since August 2008. From August 2002 to August 2008, Castino served as SVP and CFO of Autodesk.

CDK Global Appoints CEO of Sparta Systems and CEO of CROSSMARK to its Board of Directors       

CDK Global announced that its board of directors has appointed two new highly qualified independent directors, Eileen J. Martinson and Stephen F. Schuckenbrock, to its board. Eileen Martinson, is the CEO of Sparta Systems and Steve Schuckenbrock, is the CEO of CROSSMARK.

CSC Appoints Former Hartford Life CFO as Director; CA Exec Joins as VP, Controller

CSC has named Lizabeth H. Zlatkus, 57, to the company's board of directors. Zlatkus previously worked for 28 years at The Hartford Financial Services Group, as CFO and chief risk officer, as well as co-president of The Hartford Life Insurance Cos. She currently serves on the board of Boston Private Financial Holdings and Legal & General Group. Zlatkus also serves as development chair of the Connecticut Science Center Trustee Board. Previously, she served as chair of the Pennsylvania State University Business School board and as regulatory chair for the North American Chief Risk Officers Council.

ARRIS International Announces Board and CEO Changes   

ARRIS International appointed Bruce McClelland as CEO. McClelland also was appointed to serve on the Board of Directors. McClelland joined ARRIS in 1999 as VP of Engineering.

Bob Stanzione will become ARRIS Executive Chairman in addition to continuing to serve as Chairman of the Board. Stanzione will remain with ARRIS on a full-time basis as Executive Chairman. Stanzione was the founding President and CEO of ARRIS Interactive. The appointment of McClelland as CEO is the culmination of a formal CEO succession process started in early 2016 by the Board of Directors. In connection with the process, the Board retained the firm of Spencer Stuart to assist with the extensive search process.

ARRIS also appointed Andrew M. Barron, 51, as a director.  Since 2014, Barron has served as Chairman of Com Hem Holding AB. Barron also served as Chairman of Primacom.

Microsemi Appoints Kimberly Alexy to its Board of Directors           

Microsemi appointed Kimberly Alexy to its board of directors. Alexy is a seasoned finance professional and corporate board member with more than 20 years of combined experience. Alexy brings a deep base of capital markets experience with valuable insights into shareholder value creation, mergers and acquisitions, and debt and equity financings. Over the past decade she has been an active board member at multiple publically traded companies and has chaired audit, compensation, nomination and governance committees, and has served on a series of special committees. She currently serves on the board of directors for FireEye, Five9, CalAmp and VIZIO.

WEX Elects Audit Committee Financial Expert John Bachman to Board          

WEX elected John (Jeb) E. Bachman to the company’s board. Bachman is an “audit committee financial expert” who spent more than 35 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers and is on the board of directors for The Children’s Place, a public company. A partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers until his retirement in 2015, Bachman served as the U.S. assurance operations leader from 2007 to 2013, with full financial and operational responsibility.

Match Group Appoints CFO of IAC/InterActiveCorp to Board of Directors    

Glenn H. Schiffman, 47, was elected to the Board of Directors of Match Group. Schiffman has served as CFO of IAC/InterActiveCorp (IAC) since April 2016. Prior to joining IAC, Schiffman served as Senior Managing Director at Guggenheim Securities, the investment banking and capital markets business of Guggenheim Partners, since March 2013. Prior to his tenure at Guggenheim Securities, Schiffman was a partner at The Raine Group, from September 2011 to March 2013.

Ubiquiti Networks Appoints Broadcom SVP as Member of the Board

Ubiquiti Networks appointed Michael E. Hurlston to the Board. Hurlston is SVP and General Manager, Wireless Communications and Connectivity Division at Broadcom Limited.

Logitech International Announces Board Changes

Logitech named Patrick Aebischer, president of the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), to board. Long-standing director, Kee Lock Chua, retired from the board, having decided not to stand for re-election.

Dialog Semiconductor Appoints Former GM Exec to the Company's Board    Mary Chan

Dialog Semiconductor appointed Mary Chan to the company's Board of Directors. Most recently at GM, Chan served between 2012 and 2015 as President, Global Connected Consumers & OnStar Service USA. Chan currently serves as an Independent Director on the Board of SBA Communications. In addition, Chan is also currently the Managing Partner at VectoIQ which serves a number of companies in the area of smart transportation. Previously she also served on the Boards of the Mobile Marketing Association and CTIA - The Wireless Association.

Leidos Appoints Lockheed Martin Designee to Board 

Leidos increased the size of the board and appointed the Lockheed Martin designee, Susan M. Stalnecker, to serve as director. Susan M. Stalnecker was employed by E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. from 1977 to 2016, serving in numerous senior roles during her tenureluding 10 years as VP and Treasurer and most recently as VP, Corporate Productivity and Hospitality.

Qlik Technologies Announces Board Changes   

Project Alpha Merger (Merger Sub) and a wholly owned subsidiary of Qlik Parent (Parent), completed its merger with and into Qlik Technologies. The directors of Acquisition Sub became directors of the Company and the board consisted of Orlando Bravo, Seth Boro, Chip Virnig, Andrew Almeida, Marcel Bernard, Jim Lines, David Murphy and Lars Björk. Each of Messrs. Bravo, Boro, Virnig, Almeida, Bernard, Lines and Murphy is affiliated with Thoma Bravo.

James McGeever Resigns from the Board of Directors of Cornerstone OnDemand

James McGeever resigned from the Board of Directors of talent management software firm Cornerstone OnDemand as a result of the pending acquisition of NetSuite, where McGeever currently serves as President and COO, by Oracle Corporation, a competitor of the Company.

Pegasystems Appoints Bain Partner to its Board

Pegasystems appointed Dianne Ledingham, partner and director at Bain & Company, to its Board of Directors. Ledingham brings more than 25 years of experience as a trusted advisor to leading technology companies in enterprise software, mobile, cloud, and IT services, with a specialty in sales and channel effectiveness. Ledingham has had several governance roles at Bain including serving on Bain's Board of Directors.

Barry N. Bycoff Submits His Resignation as Member of Board of Progress Software          

Barry N. Bycoff, a member of the Board of Directors of Progress Software Corporation, submitted his resignation as a member of the Board of. Bycoff was initially elected to the Board in March 2007. Bycoff was a Venture Partner at FirstMark Capital.

Gogo Makes Board Appointment         

Gogo, the provider of in-flight broadband Internet service, announced that Michele Coleman Mayes has been appointed to the company's board of directors. Michele Coleman Mayes is VP, General Counsel and Secretary for the New York Public Library. She joined NYPL in August 2012 after serving as EVP and General Counsel for Allstate Insurance Company since 2007.

Equiniti Group Appoints Former TSB Bank CFO Darren Pope as Independent Non-Executive Director          

Equiniti Group appointed Darren Pope as an Independent Non-Executive Director. Most recently Darren served as CFO of TSB Bank having led the initial stages of its separation from Lloyds Banking Group.

Talend Appoints Concur founder and CEO, Steve Singh as Director   Steve Singh

Talend, a software vendor specializing in big data integration, appointed Concur founder and CEO, Steve Singh, to its board of directors. Singh brings significant experience successfully disrupting markets, scaling organizations, and building brands, and as a board member will assist Talend’s leadership team with its strategy and execution in the rapidly growing market for cloud and big data integration. In addition to his SAP commitments, Singh currently serves as chairman of the board of Center ID and on the board of Docker and Modumetal.

SecureWorks Announces Board Alterations   

Information security service provider SecureWorks announced that David W. Dorman, a director of the Company, notified the company’s Board of Directors in writing that he will resign from the Board, before the effectiveness of his election to the Board of Directors of Dell Technologies.

The board elected Dr. Yagyensh C. (Buno) Pati to the Board to fill the vacancy on the Board resulting from the resignation of Dorman. Dr. Pati has been a Partner of Centerview Capital Technology, a private investment firm, since May 2016.

Bottomline Technologies Witnesses Multiple Board Changes           

Bottomline Technologies, a leading global provider of payments and invoice automation software and services, announced that Joseph L. Barry, Jr. and James W. Zilinski each informed the company of his intention to retire as a member of the Board. As previously reported, Daniel M. McGurl and James L. Loomis will not stand for re-election to the Board at the Annual Meeting.

IntraLinks Appoints Insidesales Exec to its Board    

Secure document sharing application service provider IntraLinks announced that Jim Steele has been appointed to the company’s board of directors. Mr. Steele is currently president and chief revenue officer of Insidesales.com, and is the former president and chief customer officer of Salesforce.com.

Cheetah Mobile Announces New CEO anVell coverage of board changes in technologyd Director

China based mobile tools provider Cheetah Mobile named Tao Zou as CEO and a director of the Company and announced the resignation of Dr. Hongjiang Zhang as a director of the Company, due to his intended retirement. Tao Zou, who has worked at Kingsoft for approximately twenty years, is currently an executive director and SVP of Kingsoft as well as the CEO of Seasun Holdings Limited, a subsidiary of Kingsoft.
