Yahoo CEO and Five Other Directors to Step Down from Board on Completion of Acquisition by Verizon

Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer will step down from the board on completion of its $4.8 billion acquisition by Verizon. Mayer will leave the board alongside its cofounder David Filo and board members Eddy Hartenstein, Richard Hill, Jane Shaw, and Maynard Webb. Eric Brandt will become board chairman once the sale of its core business is completed. The company added that the remaining units of the business will operate as an investment company under the name Altaba. Under the chairmanship of Brandt, Tor Braham, Catherine Friedman, Thomas McInerney, and Jeffrey Smith will all remain on the board.

Qorvo Appoints Former JDS Uniphase EVP to its Board

Semiconductor firm Qorvo announced the election of Susan L. Spradley to its Board of Directors. Spradley has substantial senior management experience in the communications industry, most recently as EVP and GM, Network and Service Enablement for Viavi Solutions (formerly JDS Uniphase).

SYNNEX Corporation Appoints Retired Xerox Exec to its BoardAnn Vezina

SYNNEX, a leading IT design-to-distribution business process services company, appointed Ann Vezina to the company's Board of Directors. Vezina most recently was the Corporate VP, HR, of Xerox Business Services, a role she was promoted to in 2013.  Prior to that she was the Corporate VP and COO for Xerox Business Services, where she led the operation and growth of Enterprise BPO.  Vezina came to Xerox when it acquired Affiliated Computer Services where Vezina had been the EVP and Group President, Commercial Solutions and Services since 2006.

Zynga Appoints Couple of Board Members with Venture Capital and Global Technology Experience     

Two new directors are joining Zynga’s Board, Carol G. Mills and Janice M. Roberts. Mills brings more than three decades of experience building global engineering teams to Zynga's Board. She currently serves as Chairman of Xactly and serves on the Board of Directors for RELX Group. Most recently, Mills served as the Interim CEO of Blue Coat Systems in late 2011. Before that, she spent nearly two years at Juniper Network, where she served as EVP and General Manager of its Infrastructure Products Group.

Roberts brings more than three decades of venture capital and technology experience to Zynga's Board. She is currently a Partner at Benhamou Global Ventures. Roberts serves on the Boards of Zebra Technologies and RealNetworks, and most recently served on the board of ARM Holdings. Prior to joining Benhamou Global Ventures, Roberts served as a Managing Director at Mayfield Fund for 13 years. Preceding her career in venture capital, Roberts held a number of executive roles in Europe and the U.S.

Former PeopleSoft CMO Joins Talend’s Board  Nanci Caldwell

Talend announced that it has named Nanci Caldwell to its board of directors. Caldwell brings more than two decades of global IT and software industry experience to Talend’s board. Caldwell is the former EVP and Chief Marketing Officer of PeopleSoft. Prior she spent nearly two decades at Hewlett-Packard in increasingly senior and executive sales and marketing roles in Canada, U.S. and globally. A highly sought after corporate director, Caldwell currently sits on the boards of CIBC, Citrix, Equinix, and Donnelly Financial Solutions.

Callidus Software Announces Board Changes

Global enterprise software and SaaS company Callidus Software appointed Nina Richardson, a renowned business executive, to its board of directors. Richardson has over 30 years of experience ranging from start-up environments to multi-billion dollar corporations. Most recently, she served as the COO at GoPro. The company announced the retirement of Michele Vion Choka from its board. Michele has served on CallidusCloud’s board of directors since 2005.
