Ericsson announced a series of organizational and structural changes to strengthen strategy execution to drive growth and profitability. The company will have two business units focusing on the IT & Cloud business: BU IT & Cloud Products, headed by Anders Lindblad, SVP, Head of Business Unit IT & Cloud Products and a member of the ELT. BU IT & Cloud Services, headed by Jean-Philippe Poirault, SVP, Head of Business Unit IT & Cloud Services and a member of the ELT.
Akamai Technologies Leader for Enterprise & Carrier Division
Akamai Technologies appointed Dr. Robert Blumofe as General Manager of the company's Enterprise & Carrier Division. Dr. Blumofe will also continue to serve as EVP of the Akamai Platform organization. Dr. Blumofe joined Akamai in 1999. Serving as one of Akamai's chief architects, he was instrumental in the early design and development of the Akamai Intelligent Platform.
GoDaddy Announces the Resignation of CTO

GoDaddy announced that Elissa E. Murphy resigned as CTO and EVP. Prior to GoDaddy, she was VP of engineering for cloud services at Yahoo. Murphy has overseen a great deal of code contributions to Hadoop, a technology essential to large-scale computing, first developed at Yahoo.
Gigamon Names CMO from NetSuite
Network visibility solutions company Gigamon announced that Fred Studer has joined the company as CMO. Studer comes to Gigamon from NetSuite, where he was CMO. At Gigamon, he will lead teams that enhance awareness, generate demand and grow partnerships, as well as refine and broaden the visibility platform on which customers in every vertical are building their security, data center and cloud architectures.
Zensar Technologies Appoints Director on the Board of its Subsidiary Companies
Infrastructure services provider Zensar Technologies appointed Sandeep Kishore as a Director on the Board of its Subsidiary Companies. Currently, Kishore is with HCL, as Corporate VP and Global Head for the Life Sciences & Health Care and the Public Services businesses. He has earlier also led the Global Manufacturing, and Engineering Services business at HCL.
Salesforce EMEA Exec Takes up Medidata Regional Role
Medidata, the provider of cloud-based solutions for clinical research, announced that Christian Hebenstreit has joined the company as managing director of EMEA. Hebenstreit joins company from Salesforce.com, where he was the regional VP for Central Europe.
Dropbox Appoints Qualcomm's Paul Jacobs as Board Member

Dropbox added Qualcomm executive chairman Paul Jacobs, 53, to its board. As former CEO of chipmaker Qualcomm, he has deep experience in the mobile sector. He had been the CEO of Qualcomm from 2005 to 2014, and previous to that date served as the Group President of Qualcomm Wireless and Internet Group from 2001. Jacobs started with the company as an engineer in the wireless technology development group in 1990.
