Salesforce’s Board Member with Financial and Administrative Expertise Intends to Step Down
Lawrence Tomlinson, 75, intends to retire from the board of Salesforce. Tomlinson served as SVP and treasurer for Hewlett-Packard until 2003. Tomlinson has a broad global financial and administrative background that includes expertise in controllership, tax, treasury, order fulfillment, information technology, distribution, logistics and financial strategic alliances.
ServiceNow Announces New CEO 
John Donahoe
ServiceNow has named John Donahoe President and CEO. Donahoe was formerly President and CEO of eBay. Current President, CEO and Chairman of the Board, Frank Slootman will continue as Chairman upon stepping down from his management role. Donahoe currently serves as Chairman of the Board at PayPal. He served as President and CEO of eBay from 2008 to 2015, where he oversaw the eBay, PayPal and eBay Enterprise businesses.
NetApp Appoints SVP for its Cloud Business Unit
NetApp appointed Anthony Lye as SVP, Cloud Business Unit. Lye drives the strategy and execution necessary to create a profitable cloud business for NetApp and establish the company as the undisputed leader in managing data in a cloud-integrated world. Lye brings more than 25 years of diverse leadership experience to NetApp, spanning roles in development, product management, marketing, sales, and as a high-tech CEO. Prior to his role as EVP and chief cloud officer at Guidewire Software, he served as president & CEO for HotSchedules.
Sophos Group Announces Board Changes
Sophos Group, the provider of cloud-enabled end-user and network security solutions, appointed Rick Medlock as a non-executive director. Ed Gillis is to retire as a non-executive director of the company. Medlock is currently the CFO at Worldpay Group.
Former Salesforce COO Joins Twilio 
George Hu
Cloud communications platform as a service company Twilio hired George Hu to be its COO. Hu is a key hire for Twilio due to his global operational experience at high-growth cloud-based companies. During a 13-year career at Salesforce, Hu served four years as COO where he owned all major shared operational functions for the company. He also served in a variety of other management roles including CMO, EVP of products, SVP of applications and VP of product marketing.
Synchronoss Technologies Appoints CFO from Avid Technologies
Synchronoss Technologies, mobile innovation company, which provides cloud solutions and software-based activation for connected devices globally, announced that John Frederick, a technology industry veteran, will become Synchronoss's CFO. Before joining the company, Frederick was EVP, Chief Administrative and Financial Officer of Avid Technologies.
NEXTDC Appoints Sharon Warburton as Non-Executive Director
Australia based data centres, colocation, hybrid cloud solutions company NEXTDC appointed Sharon Warburton to the company board. Warburton brings extensive experience and insight into corporate strategy, business operations and finance, with a strong track record in the resources, infrastructure and construction industries. She is currently a non-executive director of Fortescue Metals Group and Gold Road Resources. She is also Chairman of the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility and a Director of Western Power.
CareCloud Welcomes Former Allscripts Exec as Chief Revenue Officer
Cloud-based practice management and EHR software firm CareCloud announced that Greg Shorten, formerly with Allscripts and Validic, has been named chief revenue officer (CRO) to maximize new opportunities within a rapidly growing market for cloud-based health technology. He spent more than 15 years at Allscripts, where he most recently held the role of SVP of sales for the company's professional division. He also worked at Validic as SVP of sales.
