Sanofi Names Former CEO of Dassault Systems as Newest Board MemberBernard Charls

Sanofi appointed Bernard Charls as new independent Director. Charls has served since May 2016 as Vice-Chairman and CEO of Dassault Systems. He has been CEO of Dassault Systems since September 1995. He joined the company in 1983 and created the New Technology, Research and Strategy division, before being appointed Director for Strategy, Research and Development in 1988. Bernard Charl s is a member of the Academy of Technology (France) and of the National Academy of Engineering (United States).

Costco Wholesale Appoints Emotient CEO and Tech Venture Investor as Board Member       

Costco Wholesale Corporation elected Kenneth D. Denman to board. Most recently, Ken was the president and CEO of Emotient, a company that provides cloud-based emotion detection and sentiment analysis solutions. Previously he was the CEO at Openwave Systems (since renamed Unwired Planet) and iPass. He is also a member of the boards of directors of Mitek, Motorola Solutions, and ShoreTel.

Former Salesforce CMO Joins Ford Motor’s Board of Directors       

Ford Motor Company announced the election of Lynn Vojvodich to the company’s board of directors. Vojvodich is a global technology executive who has built, grown and transformed businesses for more than 20 years. She works with venture capital firms as an advisor to pre-IPO and start-up companies. From 2013 to February 2017, Vojvodich was EVP and CMO of Salesforce. Vojvodich has held leadership roles at Microsoft and BEA Systems and was a partner at the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz. She began her career as a mechanical engineer in a hard hat working on the design and construction of Gulfstream jets and offshore oil structures. Vojvodich serves as an independent director of The Priceline Group and was chairman of Take3.

Sempra Energy Taps Ixia CEO to Serve on its Board       Bethany Jean Mayer    

Sempra Energy's Board appointed Bethany Jean Mayer to serve on the Board. Mayer has served in her current CEO role with Ixia since 2014. Previously, from 2010 to 2014, she held a variety of leadership positions at Hewlett-Packard, including SVP and general manager of its network functions virtualization business. From 2007 to 2010, Mayer was SVP, worldwide marketing and corporate development, of Blue Coat Systems, a cybersecurity and network management firm. Previously, she held management roles at Cisco Systems, Apple and Lockheed Martin.

Retired NCR EVP Joins Board of HD Supply           

HD Supply Holdings and HD Supply, one of the largest industrial distributors in North America, appointed Peter A. Dorsman to the Board. Dorsman, retired from NCR Corporation as EVP, Global Services. He served as NCR's EVP, industry solutions group and global operations and SVP, global operations. Prior to rejoining NCR, Dorsman was EVP and COO of Standard Register. Before his role at Standard Register, he previously served for nearly 20 years at NCR in various global marketing and sales leadership roles.

John Wiley & Sons Appoints Digital River’s CEO to Board

Global publishing company John Wiley & Sons appointed David C. Dobson, CEO at Digital River, to its Board of Directors. Dobson joined Digital River in February 2013 as the company’s CEO. Before joining Digital River, Dobson served as EVP and group executive, Global Lines of Business, at CA Technologies. Dobson served as President of Pitney Bowes Management Services, and as EVP and Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer of Pitney Bowes.

Intuit Senior Exec Joins Bank Holding Company’s Board

Banner Corporation, the parent company of Banner Bank and Islanders Bank, appointed Merline Saintil to the Board. Saintil serves as Head of Operations for the Product & Technology group at Intuit. Before joining Intuit, Saintil served as Yahoo's Head of Operations for Mobile & Emerging Products.

Former CIO of Southern Company Joins Board of Investment Firm

Hannon Armstrong Sustainable Infrastructure Capital, that provides debt and equity financing to the energy efficiency and renewable energy markets, appointed Rebecca Blalock as an independent member of the board. Blalock has extensive experience in the energy and IT industries, having served in a variety of roles for over 30 years at Southern Company and its subsidiaries, most recently as its SVP and CIO from 2002 to 2011.
