GE Healthcare Appoints CTO for Imaging
Amit Phadnis has been appointed VP, CTO- Imaging, GE Healthcare. In this role, Amit will drive digitization, software and cross modality initiatives across the Imaging business. Amit joins GE from Cisco Systems where, most recently, he was the India Site Leader and SVP of Engineering for the Core Software Group.
AIG Names Chief Auditor Gallo as New CIO
American International Group reported that Martha Gallo has been named CIO. She succeeds Philip Fasano, who has left the company to pursue other opportunities. Gallo has been EVP and Chief Auditor of AIG before taking up the CIO role.
Gallo joined AIG in 2015 with more than 30 years of experience from JP Morgan Chase, where she served in a variety of executive roles and served as General Auditor. Prior, she served as the Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Global Compliance and Regulatory Management at JP Morgan Chase. She serves on the Board of the Battery Park City Authority and is Co-Chair of the Women’s Refugee Commission Board.
Target Promotes VP of Information Security as CISO
Target has promoted Rich Agostino to CISO, following the departure of Brad Maiorino, who moves to Booz Allen Hamilton's U.S. commercial business. Target hired Agostino from GE as his VP of information security in September 2014.
Henkel Names Rahmyn Kress as Chief Digital Officer
Henkel has named Rahmyn Kress as chief digital officer to accelerate Henkels digital activities. Prior to his new role at Henkel, he has been with Accenture since 2010, most recently as Managing Director of Accenture Technology Ecosystems & Ventures in Europe.
Tesla Taps Former IT CTO at Juniper Networks as New CIO
Gary Clark, a former IT CTO at Juniper Networks, joined Tesla as its CIO. Clark succeeds Jay Vijayan, who left the electric carmaker in January last year to start his own venture - Stealth Startup Company. Clark previously worked at Barclays Global Investors as managing director and head of technology services.
Deutsche Bank Appoints Pascal Boillat as Group CIO
Deutsche Bank appointed Pascal Boillat as a Group CIO. Boillat joined Deutsche Bank in 2016 as CIO and Head of Operations for the Corporate & Investment Bank. In his new role, he will be responsible for defining technology strategy across the bank to serve clients while further enhancing standardization and digital capabilities.
P. Kevin Chase Joins Sempra Energy as CIO
Sempra Energy announced that P. Kevin Chase, 48, has joined the company as its CIO. Previously, Chase served as the CIO and SVP of technology and supply chain at Energy Future Holdings from 2011 to 2016. He was CIO and VP of TXU Energy, a subsidiary of Energy Future Holdings from 2008 to 2011.

Rambus Appoints Leader for Security Architecture and Advanced Technology Team and Technical Director
Rambus appointed Drs. Helena Handschuh, a renowned cryptographer, and Thomas Vogelsang, a world recognized DRAM expert, to one of the company’s highest technical positions, Rambus Fellow.
Dr. Handschuh is a well-recognized expert in the security community for her contribution to cryptography, cryptanalysis and hardware security. She was a member of ETSI-SAGE Security Algorithms Group of Experts for more than 10 years where she provided expertise on side-channel analysis and also co-designed GSM, 3G and LTE cryptographic algorithms including MILENAGE, SNOW 3G and other algorithms deployed in over six billion SIM cards and mobile handsets. Dr. Handschuh served as the Program Co-chair of CHES 2015 and recently served as the Program Chair of CT-RSA 2017. Dr. Handschuh has been appointed to lead the Security Architecture and Advanced Technology team at Rambus, responsible for defining security architecture for existing and next-generation security technologies. She currently chairs the Security Working Group of the Secure Content Storage Association SCSA with over 250 members.
Dr. Vogelsang is a world-recognized DRAM expert and during the course of his career has made significant contributions to a wide range of technologies, specifically DRAM architecture and core design. He is a senior member of IEEE, has been a lecturer on DRAM at Stanford University, and served as part of the technical program committee for Digital Photography and Mobile Imaging. As a technical director at Rambus, Dr. Vogelsang has been responsible for several projects and recognized for his work with low-power DRAM energy consumption based on a revolutionary power model he pioneered.
