Zurich Insurance Group Appoints BofA Technology Leader to Board

Zurich Insurance Group announced that its board has elected Bank of America's Chief Operations and Technology Officer Cathy Bessant as a director. In her role at Bank of America, Bessant oversees about 95,000 employees and contractors in 35 countries in the bank's global technology and operations group. Bessant previously chaired the Charlotte Chamber and the Foundation For The Carolinas.
Hilton Appoints Former GE CIO as Newest Director
Hilton announced that Charlene T. Begley, former SVP and CIO at GE and CEO of GE’s Home and Business Solutions segment, has been appointed to its board of directors. Begley held various executive management positions at GE from 1988 through 2013. She was president and CEO of GE Enterprise Solutions, president and CEO of GE Plastics and GE Transportation, and CFO for GE Transportation and GE Plastics Europe and India. Begley currently serves as a director of Red Hat and WPP plc.
Silvercar CEO Joins Plug Power Board of Directors 
Luke Schneider
Plug Power, the leader in delivering hydrogen and fuel cell solutions, has elected Luke Schneider to its Board of Directors. Currently, Schneider serves as the CEO of Silvercar, an Austin, TX-based start-up that has built a technology platform for a new breed of rental car business and other vehicle mobility applications. Prior to Silvercar, Schneider was the CTO of Zipcar, and worked in various positions with Ford.

Commercial Leasing and Finance plc announced that Luxhman Jayaratne has been appointed as an Independent Non- Executive Director of the company. Jayaratne has over 37 years of banking experience. He has worked in several countries in Asia, Europe and Africa, focusing on Management of Operations and Technology areas with involvement in product management. He had also been the Head, Operations and Technology of Africa Citibank covering 14 countries before joining Union Bank of Nigeria.
