Microsoft Announces Multiple Key Executive Changes
Microsoft announced a broad reorganization of the company's senior executive ranks as long-time COO Kevin Turner prepares to leave for another job. Instead of naming a new COO, the company appointed two executives to divvy up the sales responsibilities and report to him. Jean-Philippe Courtois will be in charge of global sales, marketing and operations spanning Microsoft's 13 business areas. Judson Althoff will lead the worldwide commercial business, including government and small and medium-sized businesses.
Other executives already reporting to Nadella will take on parts of Turner's job, with Chris Capossela leading worldwide marketing, Kurt DelBene leading IT and CFO Amy Hood taking over the sales and marketing team's finance group, which had been separate.
Turner is leaving Microsoft after more than a decade at the company to become CEO of the securities unit at financial-services firm Citadel. He will join Citadel after a short transition period.
Cindy Rose has joined Microsoft UK and will take over as CEO from Michel Van der Bel who will move into a new role to be announced at a future date. Rose joins from Vodafone UK, where she was Managing Director of the Consumer Division.
SAP Appoints Chief Innovation Officer
SAP SE announced that Juergen Mueller, 34, has been named chief innovation officer (CINO). Mueller will continue to lead the SAP Innovation Center Network and expand the company's presence in the German capital as managing director of SAP Labs Berlin. Before joining SAP in 2013, Mueller was co-representative of Professor Hasso Plattners research chair at the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) for Software Systems Engineering in Potsdam, Germany.
ADP Appoints Former Deputy Head of Mission at the Office of the Quartet as a New Director
Automatic Data Processing appointed Sandra S. Wijnberg as a new director of the company. From July 2014 to December 2015, Wijnberg was Deputy Head of Mission, Office of the Quartet Representative, which is charged with implementing the Palestinian economic development agenda of the Quartet (the United Nations, the United States, the European Union and Russia.) Prior to that, she was a Partner and Chief Administrative Officer of Aquiline Holdings, SVP and CFO at Marsh & McLennan Companies, and held various positions at YUM! Brands, PepsiCo, Morgan Stanley and AmEx.
VMware Appoints Asia Pacific and MENA Regional Leaders
VMware appointed Duncan Hewett to the post of SVP and GM to lead the VMware Asia Pacific & Japan business. Hewett has nearly 30 years of emerging market experience, mostly focused on Asia Pacific. He joins VMware from IBM, where he most recently served as VP for IBM Software for Asia Pacific.
VMware appointed Ahmed Auda as the new managing director of its Middle East and North Africa (MENA) operations. Prior to joining the company, Auda held the position of GM for Gulf Business Machines in Oman.
Intuit Appoints Chief Marketing and Sales Officer from Google
Intuit appointed Lucas Watson as its chief marketing and sales officer. Watson joins the company from Google where he most recently served as VP of global brand solutions and innovations. He succeeds Caroline Donahue who announced her retirement in February 2016.
Fiserv Appoints New York Life’s President to its Board
Fiserv appointed John Kim, 56, to its board of directors. Kim is president of New York Life Insurance Company. Kim also serves as the chief investment officer for New York Life. Prior to joining New York Life in 2008, Kim was president of Prudential Retirement and its predecessor organization, CIGNA Retirement and Investment Services. Previously, he was president and CEO of Aeltus Investment Management.
Christopher M. Flink, 45, resigned from the board of directors of Fiserv 2016 in connection with new employment.
Cerner Appoints SVP, Cerner Revenue Cycle Management and President of Cerner RevWorks
Cerner announced that Jeff Hurst will join the company as SVP, Cerner Revenue Cycle Management and president of Cerner RevWorks. Hurst is currently the SVP of finance at Florida Hospital. Jeff has worked at Florida Hospital for more than 19 years and has previously served as SVP of fiscal services, and VP of revenue management. Prior to joining Florida Hospital, Jeff spent 10 years serving in the United States Air Force.
CA Technologies Announces CFO Changes; Names GM of its India Technology Center
CA Technologies appointed Kieran J. McGrath, currently the company's SVP and Corporate Controller, as SVP and interim CFO. Since 2014, McGrath has been the SVP and Corporate Controller for the company. McGrath succeeds retiring CFO Richard J. Beckert, who had served as the company's CFO since 2011.
CA Technologies announced that Surya Panditi has been named GM of its India Technology Center. Before joining CA, Panditi held leadership positions at several startups, including CEO of AirGrub, Advisor to StageOne Ventures and Advisor at Rasa Networks, acquired by Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Prior to that, he was SVP and GM of Cisco's Service Provider Networking Group.
LogMeIn and Citrix Systems Announce Executive Changes at Combined Company
LogMeIn and Citrix Systems announced that the companies have entered into a definitive merger agreement for LogMeIn to combine with Citrix’s GoTo business. LogMeIn’s Bill Wagner will continue in his role as President and CEO, and LogMeIn’s Ed Herdiech will serve as CFO. Certain members of the GoTo management team are expected to join the combined company as well. The combined company will be headquartered in Boston.
Upon closing, the combined company’s Board of Directors will consist of nine directors: five current LogMeIn directors and four Citrix director appointees. Citrix’s four director appointees have proven expertise in driving operational efficiency and will include current Citrix directors Bob Calderoni, Jesse Cohn, and Peter Sacripanti, as well as Citrix’s COO and CFO, David Henshall. Michael Simon, former CEO and current Chairman of the Board of LogMeIn, will remain in place as Chairman of the combined company’s Board. Bill Wagner will also retain his Board seat. LogMeIn’s other three directors will be named at a later date.
Eastman Kodak CEO Steps Down from Red Hat Board
Red Hat announced that Jeffrey J. Clarke, 54, CEO at Eastman Kodak, notified the company that he has decided not to stand for re-election at the Board of Directors.
Symantec Announces Top Leaders upon Closing of Blue Coat Acquisition
Symantec and Blue Coat have entered into a definitive agreement under which Symantec will acquire Blue Coat for approximately $4.651 billion in cash. Greg Clark, CEO of Blue Coat, will be appointed CEO of Symantec and join the Symantec Board. Clark has served as the CEO of Blue Coat and as a member of the company’s board since September 2011. Prior to joining, Clark was president and CEO of Mincom, from 2008 to August 2011.
In connection with this investment, David Humphrey, a Managing Director of Bain Capital Private Equity, will be appointed to Symantec’s Board of Directors.
Michael Fey will join Symantec as President and COO upon closing of the previously announced acquisition of Blue Coat. He was President and COO of Blue Coat.
Sage Appoints Company President and EVP of Northern Europe
Sage has appointed Blair Crump as President. Crump joins from PROS Holdings, where he held the position of COO since November 2014. Previously, he led Salesforce's Global Enterprise business. Prior to that, he was Group President at Verizon Business, responsible for Worldwide Sales & Consulting.
The company appointed Jacqueline de Rojas as EVP of Northern Europe. With over 25 years of operational experience in the software business, de Rojas joins from Citrix, where she led the Northern European business as GM & Area VP.
Splunk CMO to Retire
Splunk announced that Steven Sommer informed the company that he intends to transition from the position of SVP and CMO of the company and retire from the company. The company intends to immediately begin a search for a new CMO.
NetApp Announces EMEA Executive Changes
Alexander Wallner has been named NetApp SVP and GM EMEA to replace Manfred Reitner. Wallner joined NetApp in 1999 and most recently served as Area VP for Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMA) and GM Germany.
Jack Henry & Associates Witnesses CEO Change
Jack Henry & Associates reported a transition plan for the appointment of David B. Foss as President and CEO of the Company, and the resignation of John F. Prim from his role as CEO and assumption of the role of Executive Chairman of the Company. Foss has been the President of Jack Henry & Associates since 2014.
CSC Board Member Resigns
Mark Foster, 57, resigned from the Board of CSC. Foster served as group chief executive for Management Consulting at Accenture plc from September 2006 until his retirement in March 2011.
Fortinet Promotes Corporate Communications and IR VP as Chief Communications Officer
Cybersecurity software firm Fortinet appointed Michelle Spolver as its chief communications officer. Spolver most recently served as the VP of corporate communications and investor relations for Fortinet.
Athenahealth Announces Board and Executive Changes
athenahealth appointed Tom Szkutak, former Amazon.com CFO, to its Board of Directors. Szkutak served as SVP and CFO at Amazon.com from 2002 to 2015. Prior to Amazon, Szkutak spent 20 years with General Electric.
Athenahealth announced that EVP and COO Ed Park will leave his post at the end of 2016, when he is expected to be elected to the company's board. Upon Park's transition, Kyle Armbrester, SVP and chief product officer, will take over as head of direction and delivery of core services. The role of COO is being eliminated, and the company will shift other internal leadership responsibilities to account for the transition.

Oracle Financial Services Software announced that the sudden and sad demise of Derek H Williams, Non-Executive Non-Independent Director of the Company. Williams is former EVP of Japan at Oracle.
Teradata Goes through Executive Changes
Teradata announced that Rick Morton has retired as EVP, Americas and appointed Pete Wetzel as interim EVP of the Americas, until a permanent successor is named. In addition, Teradata's new top local officer is Laura Nyquist, general counsel and secretary, as well as interim CHRO for the company. Laura is replacing Saundra Davis, who resigned from the company after serving as CHRO since 2007.
Teradata is eliminating the COO position amid restructuring. With this, the company is removing Robert Fair from that role, which he was named to in February to replace Bruce Langos. He was no longer an officer of the company.
Ubisoft Announces Director Changes
French multinational video game developer and publisher Ubisoft has appointed Frederique Dame, an angel investor in Silicon Valley, and Florence Naviner, CFO and SVP of Wrigley, as independent directors. In the meantime, Estelle Metayer’s mandate, expiring in September, will not be renewed. Estelle Metayer will however continue to provide her expertise to Ubisoft as an adviser, specifically on governance-related topics.
Ellie Mae Appoints HR and Corporate Development Leaders
Ellie Mae, the provider of innovative on-demand loan origination software solutions, named Melanie Simpson as EVP of HR. Prior to joining Ellie Mae, she spent eight years working for the Microsoft. Most recently she served as the GM of HR for Microsoft’s World Wide Services businesses.
Lester Liu has joined the company as SVP of corporate development. Prior to joining Ellie Mae, Lester served as VP of global corporate development, mergers & acquisitions and strategy for Visa.
SAIC Looks for New CFO
Science Applications International Corp. appointed Corporate Controller Maria M. Bishop as interim CFO. Bishop will serve as interim CFO while the company continues its ongoing search for a new CFO. Bishop will assume the role of CFO from John R. Hartley, whose departure from the company was announced in March. Bishop has worked for SAIC since 1998.
Zynga Hires Former EA Execs to Key Roles
Zynga appointed Matt Bromberg as COO. He was most recently SVP of Strategy and Operations for mobile gaming at Electronic Arts.
Zynga also appointed Bernard Kim, EA's former SVP of mobile publishing, as President of Publishing.
Pegasystems Names CFO from Dynatrace
Pegasystems has appointed Ken Stillwell, 45, as CFO and chief administrative officer. He joins Pega from Dynatrace where he served as SVP and CFO. Prior to Dynatrace, he was EVP and CFO at SOVOS.
CommVault Systems Appoints VP of Indirect Business for APJ Region
CommVault Systems appointed Mark Velthuis as VP of Indirect Business for Asia Pacific and Japan. Velthuis has held a number of senior-level leadership positions for both blue chip and start-up companies, including Axiom, BT, Whittman-Hart /marchFIRST, and Boer & Croon Strategy and Management Group. RealPage Names Former Employee as New Chief Revenue Officer

Benefitfocus announced that Dennis B. Story, its CFO, has resigned for family reasons. Raymond August, President and COO, will serve as the company's principal financial and accounting officer until a new CFO is appointed. August joined Benefitfocus in 2014.
AVG Technologies Sees Supervisory and Management Board Changes in Lieu of its Acquisition by Avast Software
Avast Software is acquiring AVG Technologies. D.L. Fuller, G. Eichler, J.W. Meeks, F.E. Esser and R.J. Dunne will voluntarily step down as members of the Supervisory Board. New members nominated are Alan Rassaby, Stefan Boermans and Dick Haarsma for appointment as members of the Management Board. Rassaby (60) is the general counsel and head of HR of the Avast Software Group. Boermans (42) is a managing director of Parent and Buyer. Haarsma (68) is a managing director of Avast Holding B.V. and Buyer.

Rapid7 Announces Strategic Changes to Its Board
Internet security company Rapid7 announced that Christopher Young, 44, informed the Board of Directors of the company of his intention to resign from the Board. Young is general manager of the Intel Security Group at Intel McAfee.
The board appointed Thomas E. Schodorf, 58, and Marc E. Brown to serve as members of the Board. Schodorf served as an SVP of Worldwide Field Operations at Splunk from 2009 to 2015. Marc is currently the managing director of corporate development at Microsoft Corporation. Marc has nearly 22 years of business and legal experience, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and equity investments.
Hortonworks COO Resigns
Hortonworks, a business software company and leading contributor to Apache Hadoop projects, announced that Herb Cunitz resigned as president and COO. Cunitz will remain at the company in a non-executive position for a period of time to assist with transitional matters.
