Alphabet Appoints Well-known Economist and Former TIAA CEO to Board
Alphabet appointed Roger W. Ferguson, Jr., 64, to its Board of Directors. Ferguson is a respected leader in the economics and finance industries. Ferguson has served as the President and CEO of TIAA since April 2008. He joined TIAA after his tenure at Swiss Re, where he served as Chairman of the firm's America Holding Corporation, Head of Financial Services, and a member of the Executive Committee from 2006 to 2008.
Facebook Taps Key Tesla Tech Exec; Appoints New Leader for Infrastructure Connectivity and Investments
Facebook hired Rich Heley, a top executive from Tesla, to work at its research lab. Heley was recently VP of product technology for Tesla. Heley is likely to work on hardware projects for Facebook.
Facebook has hired Kevin Lo, the former GM for Google Fibre, as its new director of infrastructure connectivity and investments. The appointment shows Facebook is expanding its Internet connectivity plans as Lo will work with Facebook's external partnerships, such as the fibre-optic cable deal Facebook made with Microsoft, which aims to provide stronger Internet connectivity to densely populated urban areas.

Ganesh Bell has been promoted to VP & Chief Digital Officer, GE Power. Ganesh joined GE in 2014. Prior to GE, he was EVP & Chief Products Officer at Service Source.
Vince Campisi, COO for GE Digital, responsible for cybersecurity, business and cloud operations, has left. He joined United Technologies as SVP, Digital, and CIO. Campisi started with GE in 1999 and progressed through leadership roles including GM, Cloud Services & CIO for GE Software.
PayPal Appoints Former SumTotal Systems Exec as Managing Director and Country Manager for India
PayPal has appointed Anupam Pahuja as managing director and country manager for India. Prior to his elevation, Pahuja was the technology head in the Asia-Pacific region at PayPal. He was worked with the company for over six years and was instrumental in establishing their technology centers in India. He worked as managing director for India for SumTotal Systems, before joining the company.
Netflix Announces Key Executives Appointments From India
Netflix has hired two senior talents from India. Former YouTube Indian and Southeast Asia product partnerships head Gaurav Pradhan has joined Netflix as director business development Asia. Meanwhile, Netflix LA has also appointed former Balaji Telefilms's motion pictures president and Samosa Stories Entertainment founder director Swati Shetty.
HERE Appoints SVP, Automotive Business Group
HERE, the location cloud company, has appointed Ralf Herrtwich as SVP, Automotive Business Group. Herrtwich joins HERE from Daimler AG where, since 1998, he has held various roles and most recently served as Director Vehicle Automation and Chassis Systems. Prior to Daimler, Herrtwich held various senior management and leadership positions at RWE and IBM.
eBay Appoints co-founder and CEO of Lyft as New Board Member
eBay appointed Logan Green as a new member of the company's Board of Directors. Green is the co-founder and CEO of Lyft, a peer-to-peer ride sharing company, which he founded with John Zimmer in 2012. Green also founded Zimride, a rideshare program that was initially implemented at Cornell University. Before that, he created the first car-share program at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Expedia Witnesses Board Changes
Jos A. Tazn resigned from Expedia’s board of Directors. The company elected Scott Rudin to the board. Rudin began his career in the entertainment industry in the 1970s, and since then has served in a variety of roles, including as founder and principal of Scott Rudin Productions and as a senior executive at Twentieth Century Fox.
Twitter Appoints founder and current CEO of Quip to Board; Goes Through Geographic Leadership Changes
Twitter appointed Bret Taylor, founder and current CEO of Quip, to serve as a Board member. Previously, he was the CTO of Facebook, after it acquired FriendFeed, the social network he co-founded in 2007.
Shailesh Rao has stepped down as the VP for Asia Pacific, Latin America and Emerging Markets at Twitter. Rao served as VP of International Revenue at Twitter, since joining in April 2012. Prior to joining Twitter, Rao was associated with Google as the Director of local search.
Mark Little has been appointed as the new managing director of Twitter in Ireland. The former RT broadcaster, who left Storyful in June 2015, has taken up the role with current chief Stephen McIntyre leaving the company.
TripAdvisor Appoints Chief Growth Officer and President, Asia Pacific
TripAdvisor announced that Gary Fritz has joined TripAdvisor’s management team as the chief growth officer of TripAdvisor and president, Asia Pacific. Before joining TripAdvisor, Fritz founded the advisory and investment group Amanogawa, where he advised the leadership of several multi-national companies on global strategy and expansion plans, with clients that included Rakuten and TripAdvisor. Prior to Expedia, Fritz worked with McKinsey & Company.
Lenovo Appoints Leader for Online and E-Commerce Division for Indian Operations
Lenovo Group appointed Rajesh Thadani as the new head and executive director of the consumer, online and e-commerce division for its Indian operations. Thadani, who previously led Lenovo Indonesia, will be responsible for the growth strategy of the company's consumer segment, e-retailing and online store.

Match Group hired senior political and media strategist Matt David as VP, Public Affairs. David comes to Match Group from Outside Eyes where he was managing partner focused on public affairs and corporate positioning. He has also been a part of the last four presidential elections serving in various campaign roles for President Bush, Senator McCain, Governor Huntsman, and Governor Kasich.
Jared Sine joined as General Counsel and Secretary. Sine joins Match Group from Expedia, where he served as VP, Associate General Counsel.
After more than eight years of service to Match Group, Jeffrey Dawson informed the company that he is resigning from his position as CFO, Dating, in order to accept a position with another company.

Activity trackers and wireless-enabled wearable technology devices company Fitbit hired Adam Pellegrini as VP of Digital Health. He joins Fitbit from Walgreens Boots Alliance, where he was the VP of Digital Health.

Tech Data appointed Bob Kruger to VP, StreamOne, Tech Data's cloud services management and billing marketplace. Most recently, he served as the CEO of Apakau. Previously, he served as SVP, Engineering at DNN, SVP of Engineering at start-ups SmApper Technologies, Mimosa Systems, and Mendocino Software.
Former CEO Resigns from WebMD’s Board
Kevin M. Cameron, 49, former CEO of WebMD Health, intends to resign from the company’s board for personal reasons. Cameron served Senior Executive positions at WebMD and its predecessors since April 2000.

Box appointed Carrie Palin as the company’s first CMO and named Lesley Young as SVP and General Manager of Global Commercial and Online Sales Operations and Tom Addis as SVP and General Manager of Global Field Operations.
Palin joins Box with 20 years of enterprise marketing and sales experience. Most recently, she was the VP of Marketing for IBM’s Cloud Data Services and Analytics Software.
Young has more than 15 years of experience in high growth pre and post IPO venture-backed startups. Prior to Box, she held senior executive roles at MySQL, Informatica and Remedy Corporation.
Most recently, Addis served as SVP of Enterprise Sales at Box. Prior, he held sales leadership roles at salesforce.com, as well as Siebel Systems and IBM.
Wix.com Appoints its Former Board Member and Co-CEO to Board
Cloud-based web development platform Wix.com appointed Allon Bloch to its board of directors. Bloch returns to Wix having served as a director from January 2008 through August 2013 and as President and Co-CEO from 2008 through September 2010. Most recently, he served as CEO of Vroom from July 2014 through June 2016. Previously, he was CEO of mySupermarket.
Quotient Technology Appoints CFO from Good Technology
Digital promotions and advertising solutions provider Quotient Technology appointed Ron Fior as its CFO. He brings more than 30 years of public and private company experience and will be responsible for all finance and information technology functions at Quotient. Fior most recently was CFO of Good Technology.
TrueCar Announces Chief Risk Officer Changes; Appoints New VP of Market Research
John E. Stephenson, Chief Risk Officer of TrueCar, resigns. Stephenson will join Alston & Bird, outside counsel to the company, and continue to represent the company in litigation, regulatory and other matters. Jeffrey Swart, the company's General Counsel, will assume responsibility for risk oversight at the company.
TrueCar appointed Art Oleszczuk as VP of Market Research, a new mission-critical function for the company. Most recently, Oleszczuk served as the Senior Director of Marketing at Equifax.
