VMware Announces Board Changes 

VMware reported that Michael S. Dell has been elected to the VMware board of directors as chairman. In addition, Egon Durban was elected to the VMware board. Both of these appointments were triggered by Dell Technologies' completion of the acquisition of EMC, creating a family of businesses that provides the essential infrastructure for organizations to build their digital future, transform IT and protect their most important asset, information.

With this change, Joseph M. Tucci, the company's chairman of the board of directors since 2007, as well as John R. Egan who served as a director on the company board of directors since 2007, are resigning from the company board.

Dell currently serves as chairman of the board and CEO of Dell Technologies.

Twilio COO Transitions to Role of SVP of Commercial Operations Roy Ng

Cloud communications company Twilio announced that Roy Ng has transitioned from his position as the company's COO to SVP of Commercial Operations. Prior to Twilio, Roy was COO of SAP's Cloud Business and VP Global Business Operations at SuccessFactors, which was acquired by SAP for $3.4 billion. Prior to that, Roy was VP at Goldman Sachs where he advised global technology, media, and telecom clients on M&As and financings.

Ellie Mae Hires Visa Exec as Chief Architect

Ellie Mae announced that Michael Keselman has joined the company as Chief Architect. Keselman will be responsible for directing the architecture of Ellie Mae's complete cloud solution offering and will drive the evolution and design of Ellie Mae's open industry cloud platform. Prior to joining the company, Keselman worked at Visa as the Chief Architect for merchant and acquirer processing. Prior to his work at Visa, Keselman was the CTO at Stanford Hospital and Clinics.

GoDaddy Announces Resignation of CAO    

Matthew B. Kelpy, the Chief Accounting Officer of GoDaddy resigned.  Kelpy will continue to serve as the company's principal accounting officer till end of December this year. Kelpy was previously employed as Treasurer, Chief Accounting Officer & Controller by AOL.

Diebold Nixdorf Appoints Executive to Lead Software R&D          

Diebold Nixdorf has appointed Ashvin Mathew to head software and solutions R&D. Mathew has been appointed as VP and CTO for software. He will be tasked to lead the firm's strategic development of cloud-based solutions and software-as-a-service offerings. Mathew earlier served Microsoft, where he spent most of his over 2 decades career in cloud and enterprise-level software development.

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Appoints Chief Platform Architect        

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt has appointed Martin Davy to the newly created role of chief platform architect and EVP of engineering. Prior to joining HMH, Davy was VP of worldwide product engineering for the Pegasystems, where he led the engineering and development operations aspects of the Pega platform, partnering with the head of product and the head of Cloud Operations.

Talend Appoints Concur founder and CEO as Director  Steve Singh

Talend, a software vendor specializing in cloud-based big data integration, appointed Concur founder and CEO, Steve Singh, to its board of directors. Singh brings significant experience successfully disrupting markets, scaling organizations, and building brands, and as a board member will assist Talend’s leadership team with its strategy and execution in the rapidly growing market for cloud and big data integration. In addition to his SAP commitments, Singh currently serves as chairman of the board of Center ID and on the board of Docker and Modumetal.
