Adobe CAO to Retire

Adobe announced that retirement of Richard Rowley as Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of Adobe following 10 years of service. Rowley currently expects to remain in his role until January 31, 2017. Rowley has been the Chief Accounting Officer, VP and Controller at Adobe since November 2006. Rowley was previously employed as Treasurer, CAO, VP & Controller by Synopsys.

Salesforce Appoints Microsoft Exec as Chief Equality Officer          Tony Prophet

Salesforce announced Tony Prophet will join the company as Chief Equality Officer. Prophet will be responsible for leading the company's equality initiatives, focusing on gender, LGBTQ and racial equality. Prophet is a respected leader who has held senior executive roles at Microsoft and HP. He most recently served as Microsoft's Corporate VP of Education Marketing. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Gannett.

ADP’s President, Global Enterprise Solutions Mark Benjamin Joins NCR as COO

Mark Benjamin resigned as President, Global Enterprise Solutions of ADP. He has joined NCR Corporation as the Company's President and COO. Previously, Benjamin held various leadership and operational roles with ADP, which he joined in 1992.

VMware Announces Multiple Board and Leadership Changes          

VMware reported that Michael S. Dell has been elected to the VMware board of directors as chairman. In addition, Egon Durban was elected to the VMware board. Both of these appointments were triggered by Dell Technologies' completion of the acquisition of EMC, creating a family of businesses that provides the essential infrastructure for organizations to build their digital future, transform IT and protect their most important asset, information.

With this change, Joseph M. Tucci, the company's chairman of the board of directors since 2007, as well as John R. Egan who served as a director on the company board of directors since 2007, are resigning from the company board.

Dell currently serves as chairman of the board and CEO of Dell Technologies.

VMware appointed Sanjay Poonen as COO, Customer Operations, and the appointments of Raghu Raghuram and Rajiv Ramaswami to co-lead a new Products and Cloud Services organization as COOs, Products and Cloud Services.

Prior to his appointment, Poonen had served as VMware’s EVP and GM, End-User Computing, Head of Global Marketing since April 2016. He joined VMware as EVP and GM, End-User Computing in August 2013. Prior to joining VMware, he spent more than seven years at SAP, serving as President and Corporate Officer of Platform Solutions and the Mobile Division.

Prior to his appointment, Raghuram had served as VMware’s EVP, Software-Defined Data Center Division since April 2012. Raghuram joined VMware in 2003 and has held multiple product management and marketing roles.

Ramaswami had served as VMware’s EVP and GM of its Networking and Security business since April 2016. Before that, he was EVP and GM of the Infrastructure & Networking Group of Broadcom Corporation, a semiconductor company, from 2010.

Intuit Appoints Managing Director of its India Business       

Intuit has appointed Nikhil Rungta as its managing director of its India business. Previously, he was appointed CMO at Housing.com. Prior to that, Rungta was the SVP of marketing at Reliance Jio and the CMO for Google India, where he led the position for four years. Overall, Rungta has over 20 years of experience in the marketing field and has worked in leadership roles at Yatra and Yebhi, where he headed the marketing for the companies. Other than this, he also worked at McCann Erickson, Dhar & Hoon Advertising, Shaw Wallace & Company and Mayfair Electrical Industries.

Fiserv Sees Leadership Changes for Billing and Payments GroupDevin McGranahan

Fiserv named Devin McGranahan as president of its Billing and Payments Group. McGranahan succeeds Rahul Gupta, who will leave Fiserv in December 2016 to pursue other interests. McGranahan most recently served as a senior partner at McKinsey, engaging with leading financial services companies on a broad range of strategy, payments and business-building opportunities. In addition, McGranahan served as co-leader of the North America Financial Services Practice.

Gupta was named president of the Billing and Payments Group in 2014 and will assist with the transition through the remainder of 2016.

First Data Appoints Co-CEO at Lebenthal as Board Member  

First Data Corporation appointed Barbara A. Yastine as Board of Directors. Yastine most recently served as a director and Co-CEO at Lebenthal Holdings. Prior to Yastine’s most recent role at Lebenthal Holdings, she served as Chair, President, and CEO of Ally Bank from 2012 to 2015. She also previously held the role of Chief Administrative Officer of Ally Financial. In addition Yastine is also a member of the Board of Primerica.   

Seagate Technology EVP Leaves       

Seagate Technology and Albert A. Rocky Pimentel entered into a Separation and Release Agreement, pursuant to which Pimentel's employment with the company terminated. Pimentel had served in the interim role of EVP since January 4, 2016.

Sage Group Announces Company Secretary Change 

Sage Group announced that Michael Robinson, Group Legal Director and Company Secretary, is leaving the business. Upon his departure, VP General Counsel Victoria Bradin will assume the positions of General Counsel and Company Secretary.

NetApp Appoints Former Broadcom CIO    

NetApp appointed Bill Miller as CIO. In this role, Miller will lead NetApp’s IT organization, support the company’s ongoing transformation, and work with peer organizations to advance business strategy and technology initiatives. Miller is former CIO of Broadcom.

NetSuite Appoints VP of Sales Americas       

NetSuite appointed Sam Levy, as VP of Sales Americas. Levy most recently served as VP of Sales at NetSuite and he was responsible for sales for product companies across manufacturing and wholesale distribution. Levy brings more than 20 years of experience in the enterprise software industry. In addition to his experience at NetSuite, Levy previously was the SVP of Sales and COO at KeyedIn Solutions.

Sabre Appoints Chief Commercial Officer and Latin America/Caribbean Regional Leader for its Travel Network Alfred de Cardenas

Sabre appointed Alfred de Cardenas as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of its Travel Network organization, which spans the GDS travel marketplace and Traveler Experience businesses. Prior to joining Sabre, he was president of global sales and customer service for Syniverse Technologies, a cloud-based/SaaS mobility services company.

Sabre also appointed Ricardo Carreon as VP of Travel Network in the Latin America and Caribbean region, and head of its newly created Latin America headquarters office in Montevideo, Uruguay. Most recently, he was the GM of Caribbean and Latin America for NCR Corporation.

Guidewire Software Announces Executive Changes  

John Cavoores, 59, will not stand for re-election as a member of the Board of Directors of Guidewire Software. Craig Conway has taken over the duties of Chairman of the Board.

Cavoores is former Co-CEO of Aspen Insurance. Conway has served on Guidewire’s board since December 2010. Conway has served as Chairman of the board earlier. From 1999 to 2004, Conway served as President and CEO of PeopleSoft

Oracle Financial Services Software Director Resigns

Oracle Financial Services Software announced that Samantha Wellington, 38, Non-Executive Non-Independent Director of the company, has tendered her resignation. Wellington has been the Managing Counsel of Oracle America since August 2012.

NICE Promotes Beth Gaspich as CFO          

NICE announced that Beth Gaspich, CFO of NICE Actimize, the company’s financial crime and compliance business unit, has been promoted to the position of CFO at NICE. Gaspich has been the CFO of NICE Actimize since September 2011. Prior to joining NICE, he served as the CFO of Archive Systems, and previous to that role she was a founding member of the RiskMetrics Group, a spinoff from JP Morgan and a leader in cloud based risk management.

Teradata Announces New CHRO     

Teradata named Suzanne Zoumaras as EVP and CHRO. She has worked in human capital and performance for 20 years, including a number of public and private technology companies.  Zoumaras was most recently SVP of global human resources at Atmell. She is also an adjunct professor at San Diego State University in the School of Management where she teaches talent management subjects.

Zoumaras replaces Saundra Davis, who resigned from the company in May, after being the CHRO since 2007.  Laura Nyquist, general counsel and secretary, had been leading human resources for the company in the interim.

NCR Financial Services President to Leave   

Andrew S. Heyman, SVP and President, NCR Financial Services, resigned from NCR to pursue another opportunity. Heyman is expected to remain with NCR through early to mid-November 2016 to assist in the transition of his responsibilities.

Ellie Mae CFO Resigns         

Edgar Luce, 65, EVP and CFO of Ellie Mae, notified the company of his intention to resign from the position of CFO of the company. Luce has been the CFO of Ellie Mae since July 2005 and its EVP since July 2016.

Blackbaud Appoints Leaders for Business Units        

Blackbaud appointed Tim Hill, as president of its Higher Education Solutions group and Russ Cobb, as president of its Healthcare Solutions group. Hill is Former President & Co-Founder of Channel Rocket.

Prior to joining Blackbaud, Cobb spent the last five years with Allscripts Healthcare Solutions in various executive marketing roles, including VP of global marketing & communications. Cobb also served in marketing, sales and professional services roles with Siemens Healthcare and he began his career at IBM.

Blackbaud also appointed Jerry Needel as president and GM of everydayhero. Most recently, Needel served as SVP at Indiegogo. Prior to that, he was GM of BuzzMetrics, which was acquired by The Nielsen Company.

Software AG Appoints CMO from Globoforce          Jennifer Smith

Software AG appointed Jennifer Smith as CMO. Before joining Software AG, Smith most recently served as CMO at Globoforce and, prior to that, at Avid Technology where she re-established the market leadership position of both companies, including the growth of their platform adoption and the launch of their digital presence. Previously, Smith was SVP and CMO for Progress Software, where she led a rebranding initiative that significantly increased recognition and awareness for the company. She also worked for PeopleSoft and Microsoft in Europe.

Pegasystems Appoints Bain Partner to its Board

Pegasystems appointed Dianne Ledingham, partner and director at Bain & Company, to its Board of Directors. Ledingham brings more than 25 years of experience as a trusted advisor to leading technology companies in enterprise software, mobile, cloud, and IT services, with a specialty in sales and channel effectiveness. Ledingham has had several governance roles at Bain including serving on Bain's Board of Directors.

Xero Announces New Company Secretary     

Xero appointed Chaman Sidhu as Company Secretary of the company replacing Matt Vaughan. Chaman joins Xero from Envato where as global General Counsel and Company Secretary she honed her expertise in supporting rapid growth global technology companies.

Progress Software Announces Management Changes

Progress Software appointed Yogesh Gupta as its new CEO. Phil Pead, Progress’ current CEO, is retiring but will continue to serve on the Progress board of directors. Prior to joining Progress, Gupta was president and CEO of Kaseya from 2013 until 2015.

Progress also appointed Kurt J. Abkemeier as CFO of PSC. Abkemeier replaced Chris E. Perkins as CFO. Perkins previously informed PSC of his intention to retire. Abkemeier was previously CFO and EVP of Inteliquent.

Sophos Appoints SurveyMonkey Exec as SVP and General Counsel 

Sophos appointed Eleanor Lacey as SVP and general counsel. Lacey brings almost 20 years of experience as a VP and general counsel for a variety of leading private and public software companies. Lacey will join the company from SurveyMonkey where she is SVP, general counsel and corporate secretary.

Benefitfocus Hires Former Infor and SumTotal Systems CFO         

Benefitfocus announced that Jeffrey Laborde has been appointed CFO. Laborde brings to Benefitfocus extensive strategic and financial leadership experience in the technology sector. Laborde has previously served as CFO at both Infor and SumTotal Systems.

Monotype Imaging CEO Takes on CFO Role Additionally  

Scott Landers, the company's President and CEO, has been appointed by the Board of Directors as the interim CFO of the company. Landers has served as the President and CEO of the company since January 1, 2016. The company further announced that Joseph Hill, the CFO, Treasurer and Assistant Secretary of the company, has terminated his service. Hill will remain employed by the company in a non-executive officer capacity through mid-December to assist the company with the transition of his responsibilities.

Epiq Systems Announces Retirement of Tom Olofson as Chairman and CEO

Tom Olofson, chairman and CEO of Epiq Systems, will retire from the company after its sale to two private equity firms is complete in the next few days. Olofson led a private investor group that acquired the business.
