athenahealth Announces Board and HR Leadership Changes           Ed Park

athenahealth announced Ed Park, its EVP and COO, has been appointed to the company’s board. Park will be stepping down from his current role this month. In preparation for Park’s transition, he has worked closely with Kyle Armbrester, SVP and Chief Product Officer of athenahealth, to ensure a seamless transition. Armbrester will take on responsibility for direction and delivery of core services and will continue to lead the hospital division.

athenahealth appointed Diane Holman as Chief People Officer. Holman has held senior human resources leadership positions in a number of large, geographically diverse technology and financial services companies. She joins the company from TE Connectivity where she was the VP of Global Talent Management. Previously, she served as the SVP and Head of Group Talent Management for Capgemini in Paris.

Inovalon Holdings Promotes Senior Executive to CFO Role

Inovalon Holdings, a cloud-based data analytics and a data-driven intervention platform provider for improved clinical and quality outcomes, promoted Chris Greiner from Chief Product and Operations Officer to Chief Financial and Operating Officer. Prior to his most recent role, Greiner served as a VP at Computer Sciences Corporation. Greiner has been with Inovalon since May of 2013. Tom Kloster, Inovalon's CFO since March of 2014, will be leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.

RaySearch Laboratories Chairman Steps Down         

World leader in software for radiation therapy RaySearch Laboratories announced that Chairman, Erik Hedlund has resigned from the Board following disagreement with the CEO. The remaining members of the Board express their full confidence in their CEO. The Board has appointed board member Carl Filip Bergendal as new Chairman until the Annual General Meeting, which will be held in May 2017. Erik Hedlund has been a member of company's Board since 2000.

Tabula Rasa HealthCare Names New HR VP          

Medication risk mitigation technology firm Tabula Rasa HealthCare has named Janice Casserly VP, HR. Casserly joins TRHC from Fitch Ratings, an international agency where she managed all areas of human resources for the Americas.  Prior to Fitch Ratings, she was the Managing Director, Human Resources for the American Stock Exchange, New York. 

Simulations Plus Announces Resignation of Outside Director          

Dr. David D'Argenio, outside director, resigned from board of Simulations Plus, the company that develops absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and toxicity modeling and simulation software. Dr. D'Argenio is a Professor and Chairman of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Southern California, and has been on the faculty at USC since 1979.

MEDIAN Technologies Appoints Jeanne Hecht as COO and Nicholas Campbell as Chief Commercial Officer    Jeanne Hecht

MEDIAN Technologies a leading medical imaging solutions and service provider for image interpretation and management in oncology, announced the appointments of Jeanne Hecht as COO and of Nicholas Campbell as Chief Commercial Officer. Jeanne Hecht has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry and is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Most recently she was SVP of Site & Patient Networks.

Nicholas Campbell previously served as VP and Managing Director within Quintiles Customer Solutions Management Group with prior leadership positions as global head of sales for its early clinical, cardiac safety and genomic service businesses and Head of Sales for Quintiles East Asia.

Cogstate Announces Executive Appointments          

George Hunnewell has been named COO of the leading cognitive science company Cogstate and President of the Cogstate Clinical Trials division. Hunnewell, who previously served as Corporate VP, Clinical Research Services for Parexel International, will be responsible for the company's worldwide operations including Regulatory & Quality Assurance, Product Development, Human Resources, and will have full P&L responsibility for the Clinical Trials business.

Also announced is the appointment of Frank Cheng as President of Healthcare, where he will be responsible for the commercialization of Cogstate technology in primary care medicine. Cheng most recently served as SVP, Worldwide Marketing & Business Development at Stereotaxis, and his previous experience includes roles at both GE Healthcare and Roche Diagnostics.

Alcidion Group Appoints CFO to Additional Role of Company Secretary     

Provider of Clinical Decision Support Systems Alcidion Group appointed Duncan Craig as Company Secretary. Craig will also continue in his role as company's CFO, which he has held since joining the company in 2011. Craig has over 26 years of experience in corporate finance, corporate management, and the use of IT within corporate management.

OptimizeRx Corporation Announces Executive Changes     

SVP of Business Development James Brooks moved to a consulting role with OptimizeRx Corporation, a health technology software company whose premier content-delivery platform enables pharmaceutical companies to provide point of care patient-care services. Brooks will serve as a consultant for one year and assist with selling efforts to EHRs.

3D Signatures Appoints Founder and CEO of Reformulary Group to Board

3D Signatures, a personalized medicine company with proprietary software that can analyze a patient's chromosomal arrangement, announced two additional strategic appointments to its Board and its Clinical and Scientific Advisory Board. Helen Stevenson, Founder and CEO of Reformulary Group, has been appointed to the Company's Board. Dr. Ian Smith, will be stepping down from the Board and will be joining the Company's Clinical and Scientific Advisory Board. Stevenson was formerly Executive Officer of the Ontario Public Drug Program by Order-In-Council, as well as Assistant Deputy Minister at the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. Stevenson led two major transformations in the prescription drug system; first with Ontario's Bill 102 (2006) and, more recently, with the Province's generic pricing reforms (2010).

Dr. Ian Smith was an inaugural and invaluable member of 3DS' Board. Dr. Smith is currently the Chairman of the Centre for Imaging Technology Commercialization.

3D Signatures also appointed Mr. Nigel Terrett to 3DS' Business Advisory Board. Terrett will provide the Company with strategic insight and guidance related to commercial lab partnerships and information technology management for its diagnostic platform. Nigel Terrett has held executive leadership roles at Excelleris Technologies, LifeLabs, MDS and MDS Diagnostics.

Global Health Appoints Pattie Anne Beerens as Director      

The Board of Australia based healthcare practice management software firm Global Health announced that Pattie Anne Beerens was appointed a Director. Beerens has worked in the health care sector for over 20 years and as the CEO of two national health sector industry associations for over 12 years. Beerens has an ongoing role as CEO of the Australian Diagnostic Imaging Association and led the negotiation of the recently announced agreement with the Federal Government on the plan for access to affordable diagnostic imaging for all Australians.

CardioComm Solutions Appoints Newest Board Member with Experience in Global Acquisitions Margaret Helms

ECG Software company CardioComm Solutions appointed Margaret (Meg) Helms as the newest member of the Company's Board. As the President and Founder of Morgan Wallace Associates, a global strategic healthcare M&A consulting firm focused on small to midcap companies, Helms works with private equity firms, medical startup companies and medical device inventors who are seeking licensees and/or strategic partners.

Medical Billing Company Promotes Senior Counsel to General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Medical coding & billing service provider Medical Transcription Billing appointed Shruti Patel, Esq., to serve as the company's General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Prior to her appointment as General Counsel, Patel served as Senior Counsel to the company.

Reliq Health Technologies Appoints Board Member and Canadian Politician as Chairman 

mHealth company Reliq Health Technologies appointed Brian Storseth as Chairman of the Board. Storseth is a businessman and was a Member of Parliament (MP) in Canada for 9 years from 2006 to 2015 - he did not seek re-election in 2016. During his tenure as an MP he served on committees for Aboriginal affairs, agriculture and agri-food. He joined the Reliq Health Board in July 2016 and has been invaluable in helping the company to communicate the value of Reliq's technology to stakeholders in the Provincial healthcare systems.

HealthSpace Data Systems Announces CEO and CFO Changes      

HealthSpace Data Systems, that develops information and communication management systems for health inspection departments of federal, provincial, state, and municipal governments, appointed Chief Commercialization Officer Peter Smyrniotis as CEO. Smyrniotis is a commercialization professional, technology advisor & entrepreneur-in-residence with Victory Square Labs and the Hillcore Group. Smyrniotis has worked with both private and public companies providing business development, strategic sales, channel & partnership and cloud brokerage strategic planning and execution. Further, he is actively involved in Mentorship with Canadian start-ups and youth entrepreneurship contributing the to the next generation successful business leaders.

HealthSpace Data Systems also appointed Zula Kropivnitski as CFO. Kropivnitski is a certified general accountant with over 10 years of experience in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, internal control and corporate finance. Kropivnitski is CFO of Planet Mining Exploration, LexaGene Holdings., former CFO of Electric Metals and Iron Tank Resources. She is also a former controller of African Queen Mines and Sacre-Coeur Minerals. Conrad Krebs will be stepping down as CFO.

CompuMed Announces Changes in Board of Directors         

Enterprise telemedicine solutions provider CompuMed announced that Loren Den Herder has joined the CompuMed Board. Additionally, Benjamin Large has resigned from the Board. Loren Den Herder brings more than 20 years of consulting experience particularly geared towards business software development as well as significant experience within industries served by key CompuMed customers. Loren is a member of the Project Management Institute and works developing business solutions for Moss Adams.
