Alcatel-Lucent Announces Resignation of Board of Directors
Nokia announced the 100% ownership of Alcatel-Lucent following the completion of the Squeeze-Out of all remaining Alcatel-Lucent securities not tendered into the Public Buy-Out Offer, completing the acquisition announced 19 months ago. The composition of the Board has been modified to reflect the new ownership structure of the company. Independent directors Carla Cico, Jean-Cyril Spinetta and Sylvia Summers, as well as Board observers Gilles Le Dissez and Laurent du Mouza, resigned from the Board.
Directors Risto Siilasmaa and Rajeev Suri also resigned, while Kristian Pullola and Riikka Tieaho were coopted to the Board for the remaining duration of their respective terms of office.
Juniper Networks Appoints CHRO from Lam Research; Names New India & SAARC Regional Leader
Networking products company Juniper Networks announced a new appointment to its senior leadership team. Terese Kemble has been named CHRO. Kemble most recently served as SVP of HR at Lam Research Corporation.
Dinesh Verma has been appointed to the role of Managing Director, India & SAARC. Dinesh most recently headed sales for British Telecom (BT) Global Services, the global telecom services arm of British Telecom. Prior to joining BT, he held similar leadership roles at IBM, Cisco and Ericsson.
Belden Combines Chair-CEO Roles
Networking, connectivity, and cable products company Belden has elected John Stroup as Chairman of the Board in addition to his current roles of President and CEO. Stroup has been a member of the Board since October 2005. Bryan Cressey, prior Chairman, will remain on the Board as the Lead Independent Director.
Anixter International Announces Accounting Executive Changes
Wire & Cable, Communications and Security Products company Anixter International named Ilaria Mocciaro as SVP and Corporate Controller - Chief Accounting Officer. Most recently, Mocciaro was Chief Accounting Officer, Agricultural Equipment and Construction Equipment segments, at CNH Industrial N.V. Ms. Mocciaro will replace Terry Faber who has announced his retirement in early 2017 and will assume the position of SVP – International Finance until his retirement.
Mitel Appoints SVP of APAC Sales
Mitel, provider of business communications and collaboration software, services and solutions, announced the appointment of Pierre-Jean Châlon to lead its business in the APAC region. Based in Singapore, Châlon will oversee all business and operations for Mitel leveraging over 25 years in the Asia Pacific and global telecommunications industry. Châlon will play a key leadership role in expanding the company’s market presence and customer base in the APAC region, as businesses globally explore options to migrate from premises-based to cloud solutions. Châlon joins Mitel from SONUS Networks and has previously held senior sales management roles based out of Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan with Motorola, Alcatel and Green Packet.
Glu Mobile Promotes President of Global Studios as CEO
Glu Mobile announced that Niccolo de Masi will transition from his roles as Chairman and CEO to become the Company’s Executive Chairman. Nick Earl, President of Global Studios, has been named CEO. A twenty-year game industry veteran, Nick joined Glu from Kabam and Electronic Arts.
