Kerry Pauling, most recently head of customer planning and analysis for Wal-Mart International, was promoted to CTO for the group.

Goldman Sachs Promotes Executives to Technology Roles  

Goldman Sachs has hired new CIO Elisha Wiesel who will take over the position at the bank. As CIO, he is to take over from R Martin Chavez, who was recently promoted to CFO. Goldman Sachs also promoted partners Ryan Limaye and Nick Giovanni to co-heads of global technology investment banking. Previously, Limaye was head of enterprise technology banking, while Giovanni was head of Internet banking.

Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Names Chief Technology & Administrative Officer From Within Ranks

Mark Roellig has been appointed Chief Technology & Administrative Officer. Roellig has been General Counsel of MassMutual since joining the company in 2005.

Telstra Announces CTO Appointment           

Telstra has appointed Hakan Eriksson as its CTO. Eriksson previously served as SEA and Oceania Chief Strategy Officer at Ericsson. He will replace Vish Nandlall who resigned from his position of Telstra CTO in May 2016.

Carnival Cruise Line Appoints Consultant as SVP and CIO   

Carnival Cruise Line announced that Sean Kenny has been named SVP and CIO for Carnival Cruise Line. Kenny will lead the development and execution of Carnival Cruise Line's increasingly important technology strategy. Kenny most recently was a global client services executive for Big Four accounting firm Ernst & Young.

Deutsche Bank Hires MD for Technology from JP Morgan 

Deutsche Bank has hired a new MD for technology from JP Morgan. Robert McMillan has joined the bank as managing director and global head of intelligence. He has a background in regulatory risk and compliance, as well as financial crime compliance.

 Western Digital Announces CTO Changes   Martin Fink

Western Digital named Martin Fink to the position of CTO. Fink most recently served as CTO and director of HP Labs at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Fink succeeds CTO Steven Campbell who will depart the company to pursue other opportunities after a long and distinguished career with Western Digital.

Fink worked in a wide range of business and technology leadership roles during his 30-year career at HP/HPE. Prior to being named CTO and director of HP Labs at HPE in 2012, he was SVP and general manager of Business Critical Systems for HP’s Enterprise, Storage and Servers business unit.

Delphi Automotive Promotes Glen De Vos as CTO  

Delphi Automotive named Glen De Vos as CTO and SVP. De Vos succeeds Jeff Owens, who will retire after more than 40 years with Delphi. As CTO, De Vos will be responsible for Delphi's innovation and global technologies, reporting directly to Clark. De Vos was most recently VP, Software & Services, Delphi Electronics & Safety (E&S), located at the company's Silicon Valley Lab in California.

Adam Messinger to Leave Twitter as CTO    

Twitter's CTO Adam Messinger decided to leave the company. Earlier he served as VP Application Development at Twitter.

Taiwan Mobile Promotes VP of IT Group James Chang as CIO       

Taiwan Mobile announced James Chang, VP of the IT Group appointed as CIO of the company. Previous roles include Senior Director, TBCommerce Network, Senior Delivery Manager, IBM Global Services, and District Manager, AT&T Laboratories.

Dan Little to Retire as CIO of Nordstrom    

Nordstrom announced that the company's CIO has now announced his plan to retire from the retailer this fall. Dan Little joined Nordstrom in 2002 and became CIO three years ago. He only meant to stay in the role for a few years.

Electrolux Names Acting CIO to Permanent CIO Role       

Electrolux has named JP Iversen as its new CIO. Iversen is currently VP of information systems and has been acting CIO since September. Iversen will report directly to president and CEO Jonas Samuelson. Iversen succeeds Marcus Claesson, who is leaving the company to pursue an "external opportunity". Iversen will continue to be based in Stockholm.

Xerox Names Insider as CTO

Xerox has named Steve Hoover as the new CTO. Hoover previously served as CEO of Palo Alto Research Centre (PARC), a Xerox company. In the new role, Hoover will oversee the Xerox global research centres including the PARC, Xerox Research Centre Canada and Xerox Research Centre Europe, as well as Xerox's globally distributed product development and engineering capabilities.

Sabre Chief Product and Technology Officer to Step Down

Sabre Corporation announced that Deborah Kerr, EVP and Chief Product and Technology Officer, mutually agreed that Kerr’s employment will terminate following the expiration of her employment agreement.

Staples Appoints E-Commerce Exec as CTO

Staples appointed Faisal Masud to the newly created role of CTO. He had previously served as EVP of Global E-Commerce since joining the company in May 2013. Faisal Masud has been named CTO at Staples, a newly created role combining the traditional roles of CIO and CDO. In his new role, Masud will be responsible for both e-commerce and global technology and will report directly to Shira Goodman, Staples’ Chief Executive Officer and President.

Qantas Airways Gets CIO from SAP

Australia based Qantas Airways has hired SAP SE executive Susan Doniz as its new CIO, as it ramps up efforts to tap cloud computing, data analytics and other digital initiatives.

Fortinet Appoints Former NSA Cyber Task Force Executive as CISO      Phil Quade   

Fortinet named Phil Quade as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Prior to Fortinet, Quade was the NSA Director’s Special Assistant for Cyber and Chief of the NSA Cyber Task Force with responsibility for the White House relationship in Cyber. Previously, he served as the COO of the Information Assurance Directorate at the NSA.

Helvetia Holding Announces CTO Changes 

Helvetia Holding named Achim Baumstark to serve as CTO. Baumstark will join in the second quarter of 2017 from Helsana AG, where he is CIO and a member of the executive board.

David Cooper Joins WEX as CTO     

WEX announced that David Cooper has joined the company in the newly created role of CTO. The role was created to lead all aspects of corporate technology. In this position, Cooper will spearhead corporate IT and platform strategy, enterprise architecture, program management, information security, and IT infrastructure operations. Prior to joining WEX, Cooper held several senior technology positions, including head of global operations at GlobeOne, SVP of technology at Green Dot, and CTO and SVP of product development at both Fiserv and CashEdge.

Globe Telecom Appoints CISO and Data Protection Officer

Philippines based Globe Telecom named Anton Reynaldo M. Bonifacio as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Data Protection Officer (DPO). Bonifacio previously served as vice president and information security/data privacy officer for Globe.

Associated Banc-Corp. Promotes Deputy Chief Information and Operations Officer to Higher Rank         

Associated Banc-Corp announced changes involving its executive committee. James (Jim) Payne, currently Associated's EVP and deputy chief information and operations officer, has been promoted to EVP and chief information and operations officer. Payne joined Associated in 2015 as EVP and CTO. He has more than 30 years' of operations and technology experience, including 18 years within the financial services industry. Payne succeeds James (Jim) Yee as he plans to retire in the second quarter of 2017.

Software AG Appoints New Chief R&D Officer       

Software AG has appointed Stefan Sigg as new chief R&D officer. Prior to joining Software AG, Dr. Sigg held a leading R&D management position at SAP SE in Walldorf, Germany. Most recently, Dr. Sigg was SVP and head of the SAP Analytics product portfolio, where he managed a global team of more than 1,800 employees. Dr. Sigg's new position at Software AG will focus primarily on product innovation of the company in the key areas of IoT, Real-time Analytics, Process Management, API Management, and Data Integration.

Cardtronics Announces CIO Changes

Cardtronics announced P. Michael McCarthy, Senior EVP - CIO gave notice of his intention to retire from the company, at which time Stuart Mackinnon will assume the role of CIO. Mackinnon was most recently President of Columbus Data Services.

Cray Announces R&D Executive Changes    

Cray announced the appointment of Stathis Papaefstathiou to the position of SVP of research and development. With more than 30 years of high tech experience, Papaefstathiou has held senior-level positions at Aerohive Networks, F5 Networks, and Microsoft.  In his most recent position at Aerohive, Papaefstathiou was the SVP of engineering. Papaefstathiou will take over the position currently held by Peg Williams, who is retiring from company.

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions Appoints Acting CIO as CIO  

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions announced that Kevin Walden has been appointed as CIO of the company. Walden has been serving as acting CIO since early 2016.  In his capacity as CIO, Walden will be responsible for all IT of the company, including information security, information compliance and data communications.  Walden is located with other Kratos Corporate Officers at the Company headquarters in San Diego, CA.

Unisys Appoints IBM Exec to Manage Cloud and Infrastructure Services Portfolio Serving Federal Clients 

Gary Wang has joined Unisys Federal as VP, cloud and infrastructure services, and will manage the company's portfolio of cloud-related products and services for Unisys' federal government clients. Wang most recently served as CTO, cybersecurity and biometrics at IBM, where he led the cybersecurity and biometrics solution portfolio and service solution transformation. Prior to that, he held various senior executive roles at Lockheed Martin, where he was responsible for winning and delivering several large cloud and infrastructure contracts.

Eyecarrot Innovations Promotes Insider as CTO

Christie’s Appoints CIO from Disney/ABC Television Group

Christie’s International has hired Richard Entrup as global CIO, the London-based auction house said. He comes to the auction house from Disney/ABC Television Group, where he oversaw Media IT business engagement.
