CSC and Hewlett Packard Enterprise Announce Executive and Board Appointments for New Company
CSC announced that its Board of Directors has unanimously approved a plan to merge the company with the Enterprise Services segment of Hewlett Packard Enterprise. The merger is expected to be completed by the end of March 2017, subject to shareholder and regulatory reviews and approvals. Following completion of the transaction, Meg Whitman, HPE’s president and CEO, will join the new company’s Board of Directors, which will be split equally between nominees of CSC and HPE.
Ericsson Witnesses Board Changes
Ericsson elected Kristin S. Rinne, 61, and Helena Stjernholm, 45, as new Board members. Rinne serves as SVP of Architecture and Planning for AT&T. Prior, she served as VP of Technology and Product Realization at Cingular.
Stjernholm is President and CEO of Aktiebolaget Industrivärden. She has 17 years of experience in private equity at IK.
Twitter Witnesses Board Shuffle
Twitter appointed Martha Lane Fox to serve as a member of the Board. Lane Fox has served as the founder and chair of doteveryone.org.uk, an organization advancing the understanding and use of Internet enabled technologies, and in September 2014 was appointed Chancellor of Open University.
Twitter appointed Debra L. Lee, Chairman and CEO of BET Networks, to serve as a Board member.
Additionally, the Board has appointed Marjorie Scardino as lead independent director. She succeeds Peter Currie in the role, whose term will end following the Annual Meeting.
Worldpay Group Appoints Accomplished and Highly-Regarded Tech Exec as Independent Director
Karen Richardson is to join the Worldpay Group Board as an independent non-executive director and. During Karen's 30 year career in the technology industry she has held senior positions in a range of successful companies, including Netscape and Epiphany, where she was CEO between 2003 and 2006. She is currently non-executive director of BT Group plc, and sits on the Boards of Exponent, a global engineering and scientific consulting firm, as well as Ayasdi and HackerRank.
Aqua America Elects Dynegy Exec as New Director
Aqua America elected Carolyn J. Burke, EVP of business operations and systems at Dynegy, as a director. At Dynegy, Burke also serves as chief integration officer with responsibility for integration activities, most recently for Dynegy's $6 billion EquiPower Corp. and Duke merchant portfolio acquisitions. Burke also oversees the company's continuous margin and process improvement program. Burke joined Dynegy as Chief Administrative Officer in 2011.
Micro Focus Appoints Long-Time HR Leader as Non-Executive Director
Micro Focus International plc appointed Amanda Brown as a board member. She is currently Group HR Director at Hiscox Ltd. Prior, she held a number of HR roles at Whitbread, most recently as Director of Organization & Learning, spent five years at PepsiCo, after starting her HR career at Mars.
Autohome Announces Chairman Changes
Autohome, the leading online destination for automobile consumers in China, appointed Cynthia Whelan as the Chairman replacing Timothy Y. Chen. Chen will continue to serve as a director. Whelan was appointed Group Executive for Telstra International and New Businesses in September 2015.

Pegasystems appointed Sharon Rowlands, 57, as a board member. Rowlands is an accomplished CEO with expertise in digital marketing and more than 20 years' experience growing complex business services and software companies. She joined ReachLocal in 2014 as its CEO and a member of its Board.
Betsy Atkins Resigns from Polycom Board
Betsy Atkins, 62, has resigned from the Polycom Board of Directors in order to pursue other opportunities including her recent election to the Volvo board. Atkins is an American business executive and entrepreneur. She is known for her early stage investments in Yahoo and eBay in association with the venture capital firm, Baja LLC.
Cooper-Standard Board Elects Former Engineer from Northrop Grumman as New Member
Cooper-Standard elected Sonya F. Sepahban to its board of directors. Sepahban served as SVP of Engineering Design and Development at General Dynamics Land Systems from 2009 to 2015. Prior to that, she held a number of leadership positions with Northrop Grumman Space Technology, including as the SVP and Chief Engineer from 2007 to 2009 where she was responsible for program execution, product development, and continuous improvement; VP of Systems Engineering from 2006 to 2007; VP and CTO from 2004 to 2006; and VP and Deputy General Manager of Engineering from 1997 to 2004.
