Blackbaud Appoints Allscripts Exec as President of its Healthcare Solutions GroupRuss Cobb

Blackbaud appointed Russ Cobb as president of its Healthcare Solutions group. Prior to joining Blackbaud, Cobb spent the last five years with Allscripts Healthcare Solutions in various executive marketing roles, including VP of global marketing & communications. Cobb also served in marketing, sales and professional services roles with Siemens Healthcare and he began his career at IBM as part of the team that developed and launched Websphere Business Integration globally.

IMS Health Holdings Announces Board Changes

IMS Health Holdings announced that in connection with the closing of the merger, Ari Bousbib, John G. Danhakl, James Fasano, Karen L.Katen, Sharad S. Mansukani, Ronald A. Rittenmeyer, Todd B. Sisitsky and Bryan M.  Taylor resigned as directors of the company.

CACI International Appoints SVP, Health from Harris’ Government Healthcare Services Business Unit

CACI International appointed Antoine (Tony) Azar as SVP, Health to lead the company’s growth in its Health market. Azar comes to CACI from Harris Corporation, where he established and managed the company’s Government Healthcare Services Business Unit and served as VP and General Manager for both Civilian and Health business areas.

WebMD Announces CEO and CFO ChangesSteven L. Zatz, M.D.

WebMD appointed Steven L. Zatz, M.D., its President, to serve as its CEO. Dr. Zatz has been a member of the senior leadership of WebMD and its predecessor companies for 17 years. Dr. Zatz was appointed President of WebMD in 2013. Prior to becoming President, Dr. Zatz was EVP of Professional Services, responsible for Medscape, the company's site for healthcare professionals. As a result of this transition, Dr. Zatz's responsibilities will expand to include WebMD Health Services.

The company also announced that David J. Schlanger, who has served as CEO since 2013, is leaving the company by mutual agreement.

WebMD also appointed Blake DeSimone as EVP and CFO of the company. DeSimone is replacing Peter Anevski, whose employment was terminated without cause by the company. Prior to joining the company, DeSimone served as CFO of D+M Holdings from 2010 to June 2015.

Omnicell Board Member Steps Down           

Randy D.  Lindholm, 61, resigned as a member of Omnicell's Board of Directors. Lindholm serves as an Advisor to the medical device field. Lindholm served as the CEO and President of Medtronic VidaMed from 1999 to 2002.

Imprivata Appoints New Directors and Tripwire’s President as New President and CEO    

Healthcare IT & Communications Solutions firm Imprivata announced that as per the agreement and plan of merger, the members of the board of directors of the company resigned as directors of company. Marcel Bernard, James Lines, Paul Zuber, Andrew Almeida, Kenneth Virnig, S. Scott Crabill and Gus Malezis were elected to the company board of directors.

Imprivata appointed Gus Malezis as its new President and CEO. Prior to joining Imprivata, Gus was most recently the President of Tripwire, a leading global provider of endpoint detection and response, security and compliance solutions. Gus has a strong track record of leading growth and innovation for leading technology and security companies such as Tripwire, McAfee, 3Com and Merisel.

Orion Health Appoints Former Thermo Fisher Scientific Exec as Independent Director     

Global healthcare platform Orion Health appointed Ronald Andrews as an independent director of the company. Andrews has close to 30 years in governance and executive roles in the US Clinical and Molecular Diagnostics industry. He sits on the board of directors for several companies, both public and private, and is active on a number of charitable boards. He has extensive experience working with the US government in Washington and speaks regularly to industry groups. Andrews served as the President of the Genetic Science Division for Thermo Fisher Scientific until December 2014.

Castlight Health Names Technology Industry Leader Kenny Van Zant to Board   Kenny Van Zant  

Castlight Health, the healthcare information company, reported that Kenny Van Zant has joined its Board of Directors. Most recently, Zant was the Head of Business at Asana, the creator of cloud-based SaaS project management tools, where he led all business functions, including sales, marketing, customer support and finance.

CPSI Appoints Cerner Exec as Medical Director       

CPSI, a leading provider of healthcare IT solutions and services for community hospitals and post-acute care facilities, announced that William J. Hayes has joined the company as a medical director with its Physician Adoption team. Dr. Hayes’ most recent experience has been as a Physician Executive with Cerner, Medical Director of Cardiovascular Diagnostic Services for Internal Medicine Center in Mobile, as well as an Executive Physician Consultant for Eclipsys.
