Facebook CAO Decides to Resign; Company Appoints Former NBCUniversal Information Chief 

Jas Athwal notified Facebook of his decision to resign from his position as the company’s Chief Accounting Officer after nearly nine years with the company. Athwal will continue to serve as the company's CAO until the company completes its year-end audit and file its Annual Report.

Facebook has announced the appointment of a new CIO Atish Banerjea, who was formerly CIO of NBCUniversal. Banerjea replaces Tim Campos, who earlier this year announced he was moving from this company to start a new company.

IBM Announces Executive Changes        

IBM announced that Stanley J. Sutula III, VP and Controller, resigned from his position to undertake a position as CFO at another public company. The IBM Board elected Robert F. Del Bene, 57, to become VP and Controller. Del Bene is currently General Manager, IBM Global Financing and previously served as IBM's Treasurer. Del Bene joined the Company in 1981 and has also served as the senior finance executive for various IBM business units including Global Services and Sales & Distribution.

IBM named executive officers Michael D. Rhodin and Bridget A. van Kralingen will retain their operational responsibilities and remain SVPs of the Company, but will no longer be Section 16 “executive officers” as defined by the Exchange Act of 1934, effective January 1, 2017.

Accenture Appoints Justin Harvey as Managing Director; Makes Several AppointmentsJustin Harvey

Accenture announced that veteran cybersecurity expert Justin Harvey has joined the company as managing director and global lead for the Incident Response Practice. Harvey brings more than 20 years of experience to Accenture and specializes in endpoint detection and response, defense against cyberespionage, security operations, incident response and threat intelligence. In his new role, Harvey will focus on expanding Accenture’s incident response and breach readiness solutions that address preparedness through threat identification and eradication for Accenture’s global client base.

Accenture announced that it has appointed 647 people to managing director and senior managing director positions, including a record percentage of women. According to the company, each of these individuals has demonstrated leadership, passion and energy in serving its clients, developing its people and running its business. Also, these promotions reflect Accenture's commitment to provide its people with opportunities to develop and grow in their careers.

The Priceline Group Announces New CEO        

The Priceline Group reported that Glenn Fogel, the company's current Head of Strategy and EVP of Corporate Development, has been named CEO of the company. Current Interim CEO and non-Executive Chairman of the Board Jeff Boyd, who served as the company's CEO from 2002-2013, Chairman of the Board since 2013 and Interim CEO since April of 2016, will assume the role of Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Fogel is a 16-year veteran of The Priceline Group, serving as Head of Strategy & Planning, a position he has held since 2010, and EVP of Corporate Development, a position he has held since 2009. Prior to joining The Priceline Group, Fogel worked in investment banking and asset management at various firms, including Morgan Stanley. The Corporate Development team that previously reported to Fogel will now report to the company's CFO, Dan Finnegan.

Texas Instruments Appoints New CFO   

Texas Instruments announced that Rafael Lizardi will become the company's next CFO. Lizardi follows current CFO Kevin March, who has been in the role for 13 years. March plans to retire in October 2017 and between now and then will oversee the transition of duties between himself and Lizardi. Lizardi, 44, joined TI in 2001 and was named VP in 2010 followed by corporate controller in 2012. Prior to joining TI, Lizardi was a captain in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Additionally, Lizardi holds the designation of Certified Management Accountant.

TCS Approves Removal of Director          

Tata Consultancy Services approved removal of C. P. Mistry as director of the company. Mistry was the chairman of Tata Group, an Indian business conglomerate, between 2012 and 2016.

Broadcom Announces Board Changes     

American fabless semiconductor company Broadcom appointed Check Kian Low as an independent director of the company and as the company's required Singapore resident director. Low will replace Lucien Y.K.  Wong as a director on the Board, whose previously announced resignation from the Board. Low, 57, was one of the founding partners and a director of NewSmith Capital Partners.

Infosys Announces Cessation of General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer     

Infosys announced that David Kennedy, its General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, and the Company have mutually agreed that Kennedy's employment with the Company will cease.

VMware Appoints New Leader for Telco Group  

VMware announced an expanded focus on communication service providers (CSPs) and telecommunications carriers (telcos), and the promotion of Shekar Ayyar to EVP and General Manager, Telco Group. Ayyar holds more than 15 years of senior leadership experience in enterprise software, communications and semiconductors. Prior to joining the company, Ayyar held senior roles at Lucent Technologies, BindView (acquired by Symantec), and Instantis (acquired by Oracle), spanning product management, marketing, and business development.

LinkedIn Announces Board Changes after Acquisition

In connection with the completion of Microsoft’s acquisition of LinkedIn, Keith R. Dolliver and Benjamin O. Orndorff, who constituted the Board of Directors of Liberty Merger Sub, a wholly owned direct subsidiary of Microsoft formed in June 2016, solely for the purpose of engaging in the M&A transactions, became the directors of the company. Each of the seven directors of LinkedIn: Reid Hoffman, Jeff Weiner, A. George “Skip” Battle, Leslie Kilgore, Stanley Meresman, Michael Moritz and David Sze are no longer directors of the company.

FIS Executive Chair Becomes Independent Chairman; New CAO Named

Fidelity National Information Services former CEO and current Executive Chair will now serve as non-Executive Chair of the company. Alongside, Michael A. Nussbaum resigned from his position as Chief Accounting Officer to pursue other opportunities.

The company also announced that Katy Thompson will become Chief Accounting Officer. Thompson has served as Chief Audit Executive of the Company since 2011. Prior to that, she served as Florida practice leader for Experis Finance, and as managing director at Protiviti.

Ctrip.Com Promotes COO and C-President as CEOJane Jie Sun

Ctrip.com, a leading travel service provider, appointed Jane Jie Sun as CEO and a member of the board of directors of the company. Sun has served at several senior executive positions at Ctrip since 2005. She was Ctrip's COO since May 2012 and Co-President since March 2015, and CFO from 2005 to 2012.

James Jianzhang Liang, Ctrip's Chairman and former CEO, will serve as Executive Chairman of the board.

Ericsson Appoints Head of IT & Cloud for South Mediterranean Area           

Ericsson has announced the appointment of Nino D'Auria as Head of IT & Cloud for the South Central Mediterranean area comprising Italy, Israel and Libya. D'Auria will head a team of over 1,200 IT, cloud and system integration professionals and has been tasked with accelerating the digital transformation of companies and operators in the strategic cloud and IT sector.

CA Technologies Appoints APJ Region Leader             

CA Technologies appointed Ken Martin as VP, Solution Sales, Agile Central, Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ). Ken Martin is an experienced industry leader with more than 20 years in IT. He joins CA from Intelligent Pathways where he was responsible for the successful delivery of the company's consulting services for New South Wales, Australia. During his 10-year tenure at HP and Compaq, Ken Martin held regional leadership positions in solution sales. He has also worked with Oracle and Toshiba.

Red Hat Announces CFO Changes          

Frank Calderoni announced his decision to step down as CFO of Red Hat, in order to join as CEO of another company. Red Hat has appointed Eric Shander, VP, Finance and Accounting to act as the CFO, pending a decision on a permanent replacement.

ServiceNow COO Steps Down; Company Appoints Chief Product OfficerChirantan Desai

ServiceNow announced that Daniel R. McGee stepped down from his role as COO. The company also appointed Chirantan “CJ" Desai, 46, as the company's Chief Product Officer. Desai held several positions at EMC. Most recently, he served as the President of the Emerging Technologies Division.

Twitter Goes Through Exec Reshuffle     

Twitter appointed Keith Coleman, who has a decade of experience at Google, as Head of its product to oversee products, filling a position that's been empty since January. At Google, Coleman led product for Gmail and related services.

Twitter has appointed a new managing director, with Sinéad McSweeney taking up the role in Ireland. McSweeney is the current VP of public policy and communications for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Outgoing managing director Mark Little was stepping down, less than six months after he took up the role.

Twitter's VP of product, Josh McFarland is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities. McFarland said he was leaving to join Greylock Partners.

Twitter's CTO Adam Messinger decided to leave the company and take some time off. Messinger didn't say where he was headed next.

Fujitsu Names New CEO  

Leading provider of IT products and services Fujitsu has announced personnel changes. The company has appointed Shigeru Sasaki as CEO and representative director. Sasaki assumed his position as Corporate Executive Officer of Fujitsu Laboratories in April 2010 and since 2008 has been a Member of the Board. Concurrently, he is Chairman of the Fujitsu Laboratories Group’s global subsidiaries as R&D sites in China, the U.S. and the U.K: Fujitsu Research and Development Center in China (Chairman since 2009), Fujitsu Laboratories of America, and Fujitsu Laboratories of Europe Limited (Chairman since 2013).

The company has appointed various new corporate executive officers, including Masatoshi Otoda, Takeo Kojima, Shinji Komiya, Masayuki Tokuda, Hirotaka Hara, Takayuki Sunada, Kenichi Sakai, Ichiro Ohama, Yoshiteru Yamada, Ryuuji Kushida, Naoko Yoshizawa, and Takeshi Isobe. Some corporate executive officers have resigned; these include Masaaki Hamaba, Shinichi Koizumi, Youichi Hirose, Takato Noda, Akihiro Okada, Takeshi Nakajima, Akihisa Kamata, and Seiji Bonkohara.

Juniper Networks Appoints CHRO from Lam Research; Names New India & SAARC Regional Leader 

Networking products company Juniper Networks announced a new appointment to its senior leadership team. Terese Kemble has been named CHRO. Kemble most recently served as SVP of HR at Lam Research Corporation.

Dinesh Verma has been appointed to the role of Managing Director, India & SAARC. Dinesh most recently headed sales for British Telecom (BT) Global Services, the global telecom services arm of British Telecom. Prior to joining BT, he held similar leadership roles at IBM, Cisco and Ericsson.
